[Collection & Reference]: Narration #8550 in al-Mustadrak (al-Hakim).

[Isnad Grading & Assessment]: Scholar verdicts : al-Hakim: هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يخرجاه | al-Dhahabi (Talkhis): صحيح.

[Core Subject]: Constantinople, today's Istanbul, was the capital of the Romans. The Prophet ﷺ foretold that the Muslims would conquer it.

[Described Characteristics]: In Sahih Muslim, after the great battle the Muslims reach the city and conquer it without weapons: at the first 'La ilaha illallah wallahu akbar' one side of its wall falls, at the second the other side, at the third the way opens. While they are dividing the spoils, a cry goes up that the Dajjal has come among their families.

[Timeline & Context]: The conquest comes right after the great battle and just before the Dajjal.

[Prophetic Practice]: The city falls to dhikr, not weapons. La ilaha illallah wallahu akbar is worth more than we think.

[Core Subject]: In the hardest days, when the Muslims were few and besieged, the Prophet ﷺ foretold that they would conquer Persia, Rome, Yemen, Sham, Iraq, Egypt and Jerusalem.

[Described Characteristics]: While digging the trench around Madinah, he struck a rock and said he had been given the keys of Sham, Persia and Yemen. He told Adi ibn Hatim that a woman would travel alone from al-Hirah to the Ka'bah fearing no one but Allah, and that the treasures of Kisra would be spent in the path of Allah. Adi lived to see both. He told Suraqah he would wear Kisra's bracelets; Umar put them on him.

[Timeline & Context]: They came in the first decades after the Prophet ﷺ: Jerusalem in 15-16 AH, Egypt in 20-21 AH, and Persia by about 31 AH.

[Prophetic Practice]: Hope in Allah's promise even in the narrowest times, as the Companions did at the trench.

[Core Subject]: The foretold conquest of Rome (Rumiyah, in Italy), named in the reports after the conquest of Constantinople.

[Described Characteristics]: Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-As was asked which of the two cities would be conquered first, Constantinople or Rome. He called for a sealed chest, took out a book, and said the Prophet ﷺ was asked the same and replied: 'The city of Heraclius will be conquered first' - that is, Constantinople (al-Mustadrak 8301, sahih on the conditions of al-Bukhari and Muslim; Musnad Ahmad 6645). A report in Sahih Muslim 2920 likewise sets the conquest of Rome among the events near the end of time.

[Timeline & Context]: Named after the conquest of Constantinople (which fell in 1453) and tied to the later tribulations before the Dajjal; scholars set no date.

[Prophetic Practice]: Read these reports as God's knowledge of what will be, not as a call to any campaign, and never bend them onto a living state or people.

[Geographical Locations]: Mentioned in narration : Constantinople (Istanbul).
