حدثنا يحيى بن اليمان، عن سفيان الثوري، عن سلمة بن كهيل، عن أبي الوقاص، عن علي، رضي الله عنه قال: «ألا أخبركم بفتنة الترسل» ، قيل: وما فتنة الترسل؟ قال: لو كان الرجل مقيدا بعشرة أقياد في أهل الباطل صير بها إلى أهل الحق، ولو كان مقيدا بعشرة أقياد في أهل الحق صير بها إلى أهل الباطل "
Shall I not tell you about the temptation of sending? It was said: What is the temptation of sending? He said: If a man were bound by ten fetters among the people of falsehood, he would become the people of truth, and if he were bound by ten fetters among the people of truth, he would become the people of falsehood.
