Kitab al-Fitan (Nu'aym ibn Hammad) 1380
Kitab al-Fitan of Nu'aym ibn Hammad: ungraded, and weak overall. Never established on its own.
Tell Tire, the city of Byzantium, which is called by many names. Tell Tire that it has disobeyed my command and has become arrogant with your tyranny, competing with my tyranny with my tyranny, and representing your ark with my throne. I will send upon you my illiterate servants, and the children of Sheba, the people of Yemen, who desire remembrance as hungry birds desire meat, and as thirsty sheep desire water. The lion comes out of the forest, and the shepherds shout at him, but their voices only increase his boldness and intensity. I will make their horses’ hooves like iron on the rocks, so that they will overtake the day of battle. I will tighten the strings of their bows, and I will leave you bare to the sun, and I will leave you with no one to live in except birds and beasts. I will make your stones brimstone, and I will make your smoke prevent the birds of the sky, and I will make the islands of the sea hear your voice, in many a threat that I have never heard of. Save it all

Scholarly Commentary & Context
Synthesized commentary, isnad grading & cross-references[Collection & Reference]: Narration #1380 in Kitab al-Fitan (Nu'aym ibn Hammad).
[Scholarly Verification Notice]: Recorded in Nu'aym ibn Hammad's Kitab al-Fitan (d. 228 AH). Hadith scholars classify this historical compilation as ungraded and weak overall; its isolated reports are not accepted as established doctrine unless corroborated by standard Sahih works.
[Core Subject]: Al-Rum, the Romans, were the Byzantine Empire in the Prophet's time. Many narrations about the end speak of the Muslims' relations with them: a truce, a joint war, then the great battle.
[Described Characteristics]: Amr ibn al-As heard that the Hour will come when the Romans are the most numerous of people, and he listed their good qualities: they are the most forbearing in trial, the quickest to recover after a disaster, the best to the poor, orphans and the weak, and they resist the oppression of kings.
[Timeline & Context]: Their part runs through the whole time before the Dajjal: first the truce, then the war, then the conquest of Constantinople.
[Prophetic Practice]: Amr's words teach fairness: name the good in others even when speaking of conflict.
[Geographical Locations]: Mentioned in narration : Yemen.
