Kitab al-Fitan of Nu'aym ibn Hammad: ungraded, and weak overall. Never established on its own.

I entered upon the Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him) and Uthman was in his presence conversing with him. I did not recognize anything from his statement except Uthman’s words: Unjust and hostile, O Messenger of Allah, unjust and hostile? I did not know what it was until Uthman was killed, and I knew that the Prophet ﷺ had only intended to kill him. Aisha said: I did not want anything to reach Uthman without the like of it reaching me, except that Allah knew that I did not like to kill him, and if I had liked to kill him, I would have been killed. That was when her howdah was pelted with arrows until it became like a hedgehog.
