Kitab al-Fitan of Nu'aym ibn Hammad: ungraded, and weak overall. Never established on its own.

Traced to Ka'b al-Ahbar (automatic guess): a report of earlier scriptures, not a hadith of the Prophet ﷺ.

The mill of the Arabs will turn after the death of its Prophet after twenty-five years, and then a strife will spread in which there will be killing and fighting, so I hold on to you in it yourself and your weapons, until you are saved, neither for you nor against you. Then the people will level out like a whirlpool, and then a strife will arise that I find in the revealed Book of Allah: Darkness will not be cleared until it has engulfed all the greatest, so hold yourself and your weapons against you in it, and flee from it with the greatest possible escape, and if you find nothing but a scorpion’s hole to enter, then enter into it.
