حدثنا ابن أبي غنية، عن صدقة بن المثنى، عن جده، رباح بن الحارث قال: سمعت الحسن بن علي، رضي الله عنهما وهو يخطب الناس بالمدائن فقال: «ألا إن أمر الله واقع، وإن كره الناس، وإني ما أحب أن لي من أمة محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم مثقال حبة خردل يهراق فيه ملء محجمة من دم إذ علمت ما ينفعني مما يضرني، وإني لا أجد لي ولكم فالحقوا بطيبتكم» ، يعني مأمنكم
Indeed, Allah’s command will come to pass, even if people hate it. I would not like to have from the nation of Muhammad ﷺ the weight of a mustard seed, with a cupful of blood spilled in it, since I knew what would benefit me and what would harm me, and I do not find anything for me and for you, so follow your kindness.
