Read with care: this book is ungraded, and hadith scholars judge it weak overall.Details

Read with care: this is one of the oldest books on the end times, but hadith scholars judge most of its reports weak. Many chains are broken and much of it comes from earlier scriptures (Isra'iliyyat). It is here for history and research, not as a basis for belief or practice.

If you see a lame man from the Umayyads in Egypt, leave Fustat at the head of Burayd, for a man from his household will kill him. Then the people of the Sham (Greater Syria) send an army to them, and a man from Kindah meets them in Al-Arish, and he obeys them in the first and the next, and says: I am sufficient for you in this matter. Then he joins the army and kills that man and whoever follows him until he takes the people of Egypt captive, and they follow them in the market of Mazen.
