Kitab al-Fitan of Nu'aym ibn Hammad: ungraded, and weak overall. Never established on its own.

Al-Sakhri enters Kufa ، Then he will be informed of the appearance of the Mahdi in Mecca ، Then a delegation will be sent to him from Kufa ، It will be destroyed and none of them will be saved except a herald of the Mahdi ، A rocky portent ، The Mahdi will arrive from Mecca ، Al-Sakhri is from Kufa towards the Sham (Greater Syria) ، As if they were betting horses ، It is preceded by rocky ، Then another mission will be sent from the Sham (Greater Syria) to the Mahdi ، They will meet the Mahdi in the land of Hijaz ، They pledge allegiance to him as a pledge of guidance ، They continue with him until they reach the border of the Sham (Greater Syria), which is between the Sham (Greater Syria) and the Hijaz ، And he resides there ، And it is said to him: Execute ، He hated Hijaz and said: Write to my cousin ، If he abandons his obedience, then I am your friend ، When the letter reached Al-Sakhri, he handed it over to him and pledged allegiance ، The Mahdi walked until he came to Jerusalem ، The Mahdi will not leave a portion of the land in the hands of a man from the Sham (Greater Syria) without returning it to the people of the Dhimmah ، He returned all Muslims to jihad ، He stays there for three years ، Then a man emerges from a dog called Kinana ، A planet helps him among a group of his people ، Until Al-Sakhri comes and says: We pledged allegiance to you and supported you, so that when you took power, you pledged allegiance to our enemy? Let them go out and fight ، He says: Who should I take out? He says: There is no longer an Amriya whose mother is older than you unless she joins you ، And no one with a shoe or a hoof will leave you behind ، He leaves and all of Amer leaves with him ، Until Besan comes down ، Al-Mahdi sends a banner to them ، The greatest banner in the time of the Mahdi was one hundred men ، They descend on Abraham's father ، So she describes her horses, her men, her camels, and her sheep ، If the two horses gloat ، Her dog is gone ، He took the stone and slaughtered it on the Safa, which lies on the face of the earth, near the church which is in the depths of the valley at the end of the stairs of Tur Zeta ، The bridge to the right of the valley on Al-Safa, which crosses the face of the earth ، It is slaughtered just as a sheep is slaughtered ، The one who is disappointed is the one who is disappointed on a dog’s day ، Until the virgin slave girl was sold for eight dirhams

[Collection & Reference]: Narration #1020 in Kitab al-Fitan (Nu'aym ibn Hammad).

[Scholarly Verification Notice]: Recorded in Nu'aym ibn Hammad's Kitab al-Fitan (d. 228 AH). Hadith scholars classify this historical compilation as ungraded and weak overall; its isolated reports are not accepted as established doctrine unless corroborated by standard Sahih works.

[Core Subject]: The Mahdi ('the rightly guided one') is a man from the Prophet's family, through Fatimah, who will lead the Muslims near the end of time and fill the earth with justice as it had been filled with oppression.

[Described Characteristics]: His name will match the Prophet's name and his father's name the Prophet's father's name (Muhammad ibn Abdullah). He has a broad forehead and a fine, high nose. He rules for seven years, wealth is plentiful in his time, and he gives it out by the handful without counting. Isa (AS) descends while he is about to lead the prayer.

[Timeline & Context]: He comes before the Dajjal, in the time of the great wars with the Romans, around the conquest of Constantinople and the descent of Isa (AS).

[Prophetic Practice]: Waiting for a rescuer is not the Sunnah. Work for justice where you are, and do not follow anyone who claims the title.

[Core Subject]: Three great collapses of the earth (khusuf): one in the east, one in the west, and one in the Arabian Peninsula. Whole areas will sink into the ground.

[Described Characteristics]: The narration names them as three of the ten great signs and gives no further detail. A separate sahih narration describes an army that marches to attack the Ka'bah and is swallowed by the earth in a desert plain (al-Bayda').

[Timeline & Context]: They are among the ten great signs, which come close together near the end.

[Prophetic Practice]: When the Prophet ﷺ saw a strong wind or dark cloud, his face changed and he turned to Allah in dua until it passed.

[Geographical Locations]: Mentioned in narration : Makkah, Baitul Maqdis (Jerusalem), Sham (Greater Syria), Kufa.
