If the companion of Al-Adham appears in Alexandria and the land of Egypt, the Arabs will follow Yathrib and the Hijaz, and will emerge from the Sham (Greater Syria), and each tribe will follow its people, and Allah will send an army to them. When they end between the two islands, their herald calls: Let every honest person or intruder among us among the Muslims come out to us. The loyalists become angry, and they pledge allegiance to a man called Saleh bin Abdullah bin Qais bin Yasar. And they have seized it, and they die like locusts, and the owner of Al-Adham dies, and Salih descends with the governors in the land of Syria, and enters Amuriyah having stayed there, and descends on Qamuliya, and conquers Zantia, and the voices of his army there are loud in calling for monotheism, and he divides its wealth among them with utensils, and he appears at Rome, and extracts from it the Gate of Zion, and a coffin of onyx, in which are Eve’s earrings, Adam’s cloak, meaning his cloak, and the robe of Aaron (peace be upon them). While they were like this, when news came to him and it was false, he returned

[Collection & Reference]: Narration #1285 in Kitab al-Fitan (Nu'aym ibn Hammad).

[Scholarly Verification Notice]: Recorded in Nu'aym ibn Hammad's Kitab al-Fitan (d. 228 AH). Hadith scholars classify this historical compilation as ungraded and weak overall; its isolated reports are not accepted as established doctrine unless corroborated by standard Sahih works.

[Core Subject]: Al-Rum, the Romans, were the Byzantine Empire in the Prophet's time. Many narrations about the end speak of the Muslims' relations with them: a truce, a joint war, then the great battle.

[Described Characteristics]: Amr ibn al-As heard that the Hour will come when the Romans are the most numerous of people, and he listed their good qualities: they are the most forbearing in trial, the quickest to recover after a disaster, the best to the poor, orphans and the weak, and they resist the oppression of kings.

[Timeline & Context]: Their part runs through the whole time before the Dajjal: first the truce, then the war, then the conquest of Constantinople.

[Prophetic Practice]: Amr's words teach fairness: name the good in others even when speaking of conflict.

[Geographical Locations]: Mentioned in narration : Baitul Maqdis (Jerusalem), Sham (Greater Syria), Egypt.
