Kitab al-Fitan of Nu'aym ibn Hammad: ungraded, and weak overall. Never established on its own.

Traced to Ka'b al-Ahbar (automatic guess): a report of earlier scriptures, not a hadith of the Prophet ﷺ.

The Turks come down to Amed and drink from the Tigris and Euphrates, and they strive in the peninsula, while the people of Islam are in confusion and are unable to do anything, so Allah sends snow upon them without measure, in which there are sheets of strong wind and ice, and they are idle, and when they have stayed for days, the prince of the people of Islam rises among the people and says: O people of Islam, are there people who will give themselves to Allah and see what the people have done? Allah has destroyed them and sufficed you. They perished at the end of them

[Collection & Reference]: Narration #1901 in Kitab al-Fitan (Nu'aym ibn Hammad).

[Scholarly Verification Notice]: Recorded in Nu'aym ibn Hammad's Kitab al-Fitan (d. 228 AH). Hadith scholars classify this historical compilation as ungraded and weak overall; its isolated reports are not accepted as established doctrine unless corroborated by standard Sahih works.

[Core Subject]: The Euphrates (al-Furat) will uncover a mountain (or treasure) of gold, and people will fight over it.

[Described Characteristics]: Of every hundred who fight over it, ninety-nine are killed, and each one says 'perhaps I will be the one who survives'. The Prophet ﷺ said: whoever is present then should not take anything from it.

[Timeline & Context]: The narrations give no fixed place in the sequence. Scholars list it among the signs before the great signs.

[Prophetic Practice]: The command is to stay away from it. Greed for wealth is the trial, not the gold.

[Core Subject]: The Prophet ﷺ foretold that the Muslims would fight a people with small eyes, red faces, flat noses and faces like hammered shields, who wear shoes of hair.

[Described Characteristics]: The narrations in Bukhari and Muslim give only this description and say the fighting is among the signs before the Hour.

[Timeline & Context]: Scholars place it among the events foretold for the early centuries.

[Prophetic Practice]: Baghdad fell after years of internal division. Unity is a protection.

[Geographical Locations]: Mentioned in narration : Euphrates.
