Kitab al-Fitan of Nu'aym ibn Hammad: ungraded, and weak overall. Never established on its own.

Traced to Ka'b al-Ahbar (automatic guess): a report of earlier scriptures, not a hadith of the Prophet ﷺ.

The Banu Umayyads reigned for a hundred years, and the Banu Marwan had sixty-odd years of that. They had a wall of iron that was not sound until they removed it with their own hands. Then they wanted to block it but they could not. Every time they blocked it on one side, it collapsed on the other, until Allah annihilated them. They opened with a mim and ended with a mim, and the rotation of their millstones ended and their king fell. Al-Jawf, which is Marwan, so on his hands will be the demolition of wreaths, meaning the demolition of cities, and on his hands will be shaking

[Collection & Reference]: Narration #1971 in Kitab al-Fitan (Nu'aym ibn Hammad).

[Scholarly Verification Notice]: Recorded in Nu'aym ibn Hammad's Kitab al-Fitan (d. 228 AH). Hadith scholars classify this historical compilation as ungraded and weak overall; its isolated reports are not accepted as established doctrine unless corroborated by standard Sahih works.

[Core Subject]: The Prophet ﷺ foretold that the ruin of his ummah would come at the hands of young men of Quraysh, and that rule would turn into kingship after thirty years of caliphate. Scholars connect these with the Umayyad dynasty (41-132 AH).

[Described Characteristics]: Abu Hurayrah said he could name them if he wished. Ibn Hajar and others explain that he meant certain Umayyad rulers, beginning around the year 60 AH, and Abu Hurayrah prayed to die before then.

[Timeline & Context]: This was in the first Islamic century, and it has already passed.

[Prophetic Practice]: Abu Hurayrah sought refuge from 'the year sixty and the rule of boys'. Ask Allah for just leaders.
