Kitab al-Fitan of Nu'aym ibn Hammad: ungraded, and weak overall. Never established on its own.

Traced to Ka'b al-Ahbar (automatic guess): a report of earlier scriptures, not a hadith of the Prophet ﷺ.

Constantinople heard of the devastation of Jerusalem, so it strengthened and became arrogant, so it called the arrogant, and said: The throne of my Lord will be built on water, for it was built on water, so Allah Almighty promised it torment on the Day of Resurrection, and He said: I will remove your jewelry, your silk, and your leaven, and I will leave you without a rooster crowing over you, and I will not give you any inhabitants except foxes, and no plants except the mallow and the sprout, and I will send down upon you three fires: fire of pitch, And fire of brimstone, and fire of oil, and I will leave you bare and bald, with nothing standing between you and the sky, so that they may reach your voice and your smoke, while I am in the sky, for it has been a long time since he has associated Allah Almighty in it, and worshiped someone other than Him. And let them spread out in it so young that they can see the sun due to their beauty, so that those of you who have attained the age should not be unable to walk to the court house of their king, for you will find in it the treasure of twelve of their kings, all of them. It increases and does not subtract from it, like statues of cows or horses made of copper, with water flowing over their heads, so let them divide their treasures, measuring with shields and cutting with axes, for you will continue to do so until the fire that Allah has promised will hasten you, and you will bear what you are able of its treasures until you divide it with a ragdoona, and then he will come to you coming from the Sham (Greater Syria): Indeed, the Dajjal has emerged, and you will reject what is in your hands, and when you reach the Sham (Greater Syria), you will find the matter to be false. It is a blasphemy of lies. Abu Ayyub said: A blasphemy, and he said: In Al-Farqduna, and he said: A man should not go from his house to one of your walls to urinate on you.

[Collection & Reference]: Narration #1313 in Kitab al-Fitan (Nu'aym ibn Hammad).

[Scholarly Verification Notice]: Recorded in Nu'aym ibn Hammad's Kitab al-Fitan (d. 228 AH). Hadith scholars classify this historical compilation as ungraded and weak overall; its isolated reports are not accepted as established doctrine unless corroborated by standard Sahih works.

[Core Subject]: The Dajjal (al-Masih al-Dajjal, the false messiah) is a single man who will appear near the end and claim to be God. Every prophet warned his people about him, and the Prophet ﷺ called his trial the greatest from the creation of Adam until the Hour.

[Described Characteristics]: He is a young man, stocky, with thick curly hair, blind in his right eye, which looks like a floating grape. Between his eyes is written ka-fa-ra (kafir), which every believer can read, literate or not. He brings what looks like paradise and hell, but his paradise is fire and his fire is cool water. He orders the sky to rain and it rains. He stays forty days: one like a year, one like a month, one like a week, the rest like ordinary days. He cannot enter Makkah or Madinah.

[Timeline & Context]: In the narrated order he is the first of the great signs. He comes after the great battle with the Romans and the conquest of Constantinople, and Isa (AS) kills him at the gate of Lud.

[Prophetic Practice]: Memorise the first ten verses of Surah al-Kahf, read al-Kahf on Fridays, and in every prayer before the salam ask Allah's refuge from the trial of the Dajjal. Whoever hears of him should keep away from him.

[Core Subject]: Constantinople, today's Istanbul, was the capital of the Romans. The Prophet ﷺ foretold that the Muslims would conquer it.

[Described Characteristics]: In Sahih Muslim, after the great battle the Muslims reach the city and conquer it without weapons: at the first 'La ilaha illallah wallahu akbar' one side of its wall falls, at the second the other side, at the third the way opens. While they are dividing the spoils, a cry goes up that the Dajjal has come among their families.

[Timeline & Context]: The conquest comes right after the great battle and just before the Dajjal.

[Prophetic Practice]: The city falls to dhikr, not weapons. La ilaha illallah wallahu akbar is worth more than we think.

[Core Subject]: Yawm al-Qiyamah, the Day of Resurrection, is the Day when all people stand before Allah to be judged. It has many names in the Quran: the Day of Recompense, the Day of Reckoning, the Overwhelming, the Inevitable.

[Described Characteristics]: A nursing mother forgets her baby, a pregnant woman miscarries, and people look drunk though they are not. A person flees from his brother, mother, father, wife and children; each has enough worry of his own. Allah speaks to each person directly with no interpreter between them.

[Timeline & Context]: It begins with the second blow of the Trumpet and moves through its stages: resurrection, gathering, intercession, reckoning and the scales, the Pool and the Bridge, and then Paradise or Hell.

[Prophetic Practice]: 'A person's feet will not move on that Day until he is asked about four things: his life and how he spent it, his knowledge and what he did with it, his wealth, where he earned it and how he spent it, and his body and how he used it.'

[Geographical Locations]: Mentioned in narration : Baitul Maqdis (Jerusalem), Sham (Greater Syria), Constantinople (Istanbul).
