Kitab al-Fitan of Nu'aym ibn Hammad: ungraded, and weak overall. Never established on its own.

When Gog and Magog go out, the first of them comes out by the lake, Lake Tiberias, and they drink it, then the last of them comes to it, and they say: As if there was once water here. Then when they conquer the earth, they say: We have defeated the earth. Come, fight the people of heaven. So they said: O Messenger of Allah, where will the Muslims be? He said: They fortify themselves, and Allah sends clouds called “unleashed,” and so is His name with Allah. They shoot it with their arrows, and their arrows fall. Soaked in blood, they say: Allah has killed us, and Allah has killed them. So they stay as long as Allah wills. Then Allah Almighty sends to the clouds, and it rains upon them worms like the gores of camels. From them comes out, and each one seizes the neck of one of them and kills him. While they were at that, a Muslim man said: Open the door for me. I will go out and see what they have done, the enemies of Allah. Perhaps Allah has destroyed them. So he comes out, and when he comes to them, he finds them standing dead, one over the other, so he praises. Allah and calls to his companions: Allah has destroyed them, so Allah sends rain and washes the earth from them. He said: Then the Muslims will kindle fire with their bows and arrows for such and such a year, and the Muslims’ livestock will eat from their carcasses, and they will grow fat on them and become arrogant.

[Collection & Reference]: Narration #1631 in Kitab al-Fitan (Nu'aym ibn Hammad).

[Scholarly Verification Notice]: Recorded in Nu'aym ibn Hammad's Kitab al-Fitan (d. 228 AH). Hadith scholars classify this historical compilation as ungraded and weak overall; its isolated reports are not accepted as established doctrine unless corroborated by standard Sahih works.

[Core Subject]: Ya'juj and Ma'juj (Gog and Magog) are two huge peoples, descendants of Adam, held back behind a barrier of iron and copper that Dhul-Qarnayn built. Near the end the barrier gives way and they pour out across the earth.

[Described Characteristics]: They come down from every height. Their first ranks drink Lake Tiberias dry, and the last say 'there was water here once'. No one can fight them, so Allah tells Isa (AS) to take the believers up Mount Tur. Isa and his companions pray, Allah sends worms into their necks, and they all die in one night. Birds carry the bodies away and a rain washes the earth clean.

[Timeline & Context]: They come out after the Dajjal is killed, in the time of Isa (AS). It is one of the ten great signs.

[Prophetic Practice]: When Zaynab asked, 'Will we be destroyed while there are righteous among us?', he said, 'Yes, if filth increases.' Guarding against open evil is our part.
