Kitab al-Fitan of Nu'aym ibn Hammad: ungraded, and weak overall. Never established on its own.

Traced to Ka'b al-Ahbar (automatic guess): a report of earlier scriptures, not a hadith of the Prophet ﷺ.

When Gog and Magog came out, they dug so that those next to them would hear the beating of their axes. If night came, they said: Tomorrow we will open and go out, so Allah will repeat it as it was. So they would dig so that those next to them would hear the beating of their axes. If it was night, they would say: Tomorrow we will open and go out, so Allah will repeat it as it was. Then they would dig so that those next to them would hear the beating of their axes. Then, if night came, Allah delivered it on the tongue of one of them on the third day, and he would say: We will tomorrow. We will go out, Allah willing, and they will dig tomorrow and find it as they left it. They dig, then they go out, and the first group of them passes by Lake Tiberias and drinks its water, then the second group and licks its mud, then the third group and they say: There was once water here, and the people flee from them, but nothing can happen to them. He said: Then they throw their arrows into the sky, and it returns covered in blood, and they say: We have killed the people of the earth and the people of heaven, and he will pray against them. Jesus, son of Mary, says: O Allah, we have no power over them, nor do we have any power, so suffice them with whatever You wish. Then Allah will cause animals called gnats to pass over them, which will gnaw at their necks. Allah will send birds that will seize them with their beaks and throw them into the sea. Allah will send a spring called life, which will purify the earth and make it grow, until the pomegranate is filled with habitation. Ka’b said: And habitation is the people of the House.

[Collection & Reference]: Narration #1641 in Kitab al-Fitan (Nu'aym ibn Hammad).

[Scholarly Verification Notice]: Recorded in Nu'aym ibn Hammad's Kitab al-Fitan (d. 228 AH). Hadith scholars classify this historical compilation as ungraded and weak overall; its isolated reports are not accepted as established doctrine unless corroborated by standard Sahih works.

[Core Subject]: Isa (Jesus, AS), son of Maryam, was not killed or crucified; Allah raised him up. Near the end of time he descends again, kills the Dajjal, and rules by the law of Muhammad ﷺ as a just ruler.

[Described Characteristics]: He descends at the white minaret east of Damascus, wearing two saffron-dyed garments, his hands on the wings of two angels. When he lowers his head, drops fall like pearls. He finds the Dajjal at the gate of Lud and kills him. He breaks the cross, kills the pig, abolishes the jizyah, and wealth becomes so plentiful no one accepts it. He lives on earth for a time, marries, then dies and the Muslims pray over him.

[Timeline & Context]: He descends during the Dajjal's forty days, just as the Muslims are getting ready for prayer, and Ya'juj and Ma'juj come out in his time.

[Prophetic Practice]: The Prophet ﷺ said: whoever of you meets him, convey my salam to him.

[Core Subject]: Ya'juj and Ma'juj (Gog and Magog) are two huge peoples, descendants of Adam, held back behind a barrier of iron and copper that Dhul-Qarnayn built. Near the end the barrier gives way and they pour out across the earth.

[Described Characteristics]: They come down from every height. Their first ranks drink Lake Tiberias dry, and the last say 'there was water here once'. No one can fight them, so Allah tells Isa (AS) to take the believers up Mount Tur. Isa and his companions pray, Allah sends worms into their necks, and they all die in one night. Birds carry the bodies away and a rain washes the earth clean.

[Timeline & Context]: They come out after the Dajjal is killed, in the time of Isa (AS). It is one of the ten great signs.

[Prophetic Practice]: When Zaynab asked, 'Will we be destroyed while there are righteous among us?', he said, 'Yes, if filth increases.' Guarding against open evil is our part.
