Kitab al-Fitan of Nu'aym ibn Hammad: ungraded, and weak overall. Never established on its own.

Traced to Ka'b al-Ahbar (automatic guess): a report of earlier scriptures, not a hadith of the Prophet ﷺ.

It is attended by twelve kings ، The Roman king was the youngest and least combative ، But they were the preachers ، They called those nations and were inspired by them ، It is forbidden for anyone who sees Islam as a right not to support Islam on that day ، On that day, they will reach the support of the Muslims, Sana'a, the soldiers ، It is forbidden for anyone who considers Christianity a right not to support it on that day ، On that day, the island will provide them with thirty thousand Christians ، So the man leaves his acre and says: Go, support Christianity ، And the iron strikes one another ، What harm would it do to a man on that day who had a sword that could not prick his nose if it were not replaced with a fastener? ، He will not put his sword on a shield or anything else that day without cutting it off ، It is forbidden for an army to abandon victory ، Patience is given to these and those ، The iron hits one another to intensify the affliction ، On that day, a third of the Muslims will be killed ، Weaver a third ، They fall into a desert area of the ground ، This means that these people will never see Paradise and will never see their families ، A third remain patient and guard them for three days ، They do not flee, their friends flee ، If it was the third day, one of them said: O people of Islam ، What are you waiting for? Scholarly Commentary & Context

Synthesized commentary, isnad grading & cross-references

[Collection & Reference]: Narration #1352 in Kitab al-Fitan (Nu'aym ibn Hammad).

[Scholarly Verification Notice]: Recorded in Nu'aym ibn Hammad's Kitab al-Fitan (d. 228 AH). Hadith scholars classify this historical compilation as ungraded and weak overall; its isolated reports are not accepted as established doctrine unless corroborated by standard Sahih works.

[Core Subject]: The Hour (al-Sa'ah) is the moment this world ends. Everything alive dies, the universe is undone, and then comes the resurrection. The Quran mentions it again and again, and the Prophet ﷺ spoke of the signs that come before it.

[Described Characteristics]: It comes suddenly, while people are busy with their lives: one man is selling cloth, another is fixing his water trough, another is lifting food to his mouth, and none of them finishes. Before it come signs, small ones that spread slowly and ten great ones that come close together.

[Timeline & Context]: Only Allah knows. The Quran says its knowledge is with Him alone, and when Jibril asked the Prophet ﷺ, he answered: the one asked knows no more than the one asking. Any date or countdown contradicts this.

[Prophetic Practice]: A man asked, 'When is the Hour?' The Prophet ﷺ asked back, 'What have you prepared for it?' The real question is our own preparation, not the date.

[Core Subject]: The Dajjal (al-Masih al-Dajjal, the false messiah) is a single man who will appear near the end and claim to be God. Every prophet warned his people about him, and the Prophet ﷺ called his trial the greatest from the creation of Adam until the Hour.

[Described Characteristics]: He is a young man, stocky, with thick curly hair, blind in his right eye, which looks like a floating grape. Between his eyes is written ka-fa-ra (kafir), which every believer can read, literate or not. He brings what looks like paradise and hell, but his paradise is fire and his fire is cool water. He orders the sky to rain and it rains. He stays forty days: one like a year, one like a month, one like a week, the rest like ordinary days. He cannot enter Makkah or Madinah.

[Timeline & Context]: In the narrated order he is the first of the great signs. He comes after the great battle with the Romans and the conquest of Constantinople, and Isa (AS) kills him at the gate of Lud.

[Prophetic Practice]: Memorise the first ten verses of Surah al-Kahf, read al-Kahf on Fridays, and in every prayer before the salam ask Allah's refuge from the trial of the Dajjal. Whoever hears of him should keep away from him.

[Core Subject]: Al-Malhamah al-Kubra is the great battle between the Muslims and the Romans (al-Rum) near the end of time. The narrations describe it as one of the fiercest wars in history.

[Described Characteristics]: The Romans land at al-A'maq or Dabiq in northern Syria. An army from Madinah, the best people on earth in that day, goes out to meet them. A third flees and Allah never accepts their repentance, a third are killed and are the best martyrs, and a third win and are never tried again. Sahih Muslim describes a battle so long that men pledge to fight to the death three days running, and so deadly that a bird flying past the bodies falls dead before reaching their end.

[Timeline & Context]: It comes after a truce with the Romans breaks down, and before the conquest of Constantinople and the Dajjal.

[Prophetic Practice]: The Prophet ﷺ said: 'Do not wish to meet the enemy; ask Allah for well-being. But if you meet them, be steadfast.'

[Core Subject]: Al-Rum, the Romans, were the Byzantine Empire in the Prophet's time. Many narrations about the end speak of the Muslims' relations with them: a truce, a joint war, then the great battle.

[Described Characteristics]: Amr ibn al-As heard that the Hour will come when the Romans are the most numerous of people, and he listed their good qualities: they are the most forbearing in trial, the quickest to recover after a disaster, the best to the poor, orphans and the weak, and they resist the oppression of kings.

[Timeline & Context]: Their part runs through the whole time before the Dajjal: first the truce, then the war, then the conquest of Constantinople.

[Prophetic Practice]: Amr's words teach fairness: name the good in others even when speaking of conflict.

[Core Subject]: Constantinople, today's Istanbul, was the capital of the Romans. The Prophet ﷺ foretold that the Muslims would conquer it.

[Described Characteristics]: In Sahih Muslim, after the great battle the Muslims reach the city and conquer it without weapons: at the first 'La ilaha illallah wallahu akbar' one side of its wall falls, at the second the other side, at the third the way opens. While they are dividing the spoils, a cry goes up that the Dajjal has come among their families.

[Timeline & Context]: The conquest comes right after the great battle and just before the Dajjal.

[Prophetic Practice]: The city falls to dhikr, not weapons. La ilaha illallah wallahu akbar is worth more than we think.

[Core Subject]: Jannah, Paradise, is the eternal home of the believers: 'what no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no heart has imagined'.

[Described Characteristics]: Gardens with rivers of water, milk, honey and pure drink; a hundred levels, the highest al-Firdaws under the Throne. No illness, no ageing, no sorrow, no death. Its greatest joy is seeing Allah, and His saying: 'I am pleased with you and will never be displeased with you after this.'

[Timeline & Context]: After the Bridge, the believers enter it forever. Paradise already exists now.

[Prophetic Practice]: 'When you ask Allah, ask for al-Firdaws.'

[Geographical Locations]: Mentioned in narration : Constantinople (Istanbul).
