Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri narrated that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said:"By the One in Whose Hand is my soul! The Hour will not be established until predators speak to people and until the tip of a man's whip and the straps on his sandal speak to him, and his thigh informs him of what occurred with his family after him

[Collection & Reference]: Narration #2181 in Jami' at-Tirmidhi.

[Isnad Grading & Assessment]: Scholar verdicts : Ahmad Muhammad Shakir: Sahih | Al-Albani: Sahih | Bashar Awad Maarouf: Hasan Sahih | Zubair Ali Zai: Sahih.

[Core Subject]: The Hour (al-Sa'ah) is the moment this world ends. Everything alive dies, the universe is undone, and then comes the resurrection. The Quran mentions it again and again, and the Prophet ﷺ spoke of the signs that come before it.

[Described Characteristics]: It comes suddenly, while people are busy with their lives: one man is selling cloth, another is fixing his water trough, another is lifting food to his mouth, and none of them finishes. Before it come signs, small ones that spread slowly and ten great ones that come close together.

[Timeline & Context]: Only Allah knows. The Quran says its knowledge is with Him alone, and when Jibril asked the Prophet ﷺ, he answered: the one asked knows no more than the one asking. Any date or countdown contradicts this.

[Prophetic Practice]: A man asked, 'When is the Hour?' The Prophet ﷺ asked back, 'What have you prepared for it?' The real question is our own preparation, not the date.

[Core Subject]: Before the Hour, wild predators (siba') will speak to humans, and inanimate objects - the tip of a man's whip, the strap of his sandal - along with his own thigh will speak to him.

[Described Characteristics]: Abu Sa'id al-Khudri narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: 'By the One in Whose hand is my soul, the Hour will not be established until predators speak to humans, and until the tip of a man's whip and the strap of his sandal speak to him, and his thigh informs him of what his family did after he left' (Jami' at-Tirmidhi 2181, Musnad Ahmad 11792, al-Mustadrak 8442).

[Timeline & Context]: Its earliest prototype occurred when a wolf spoke to a shepherd near Madinah in the Prophet's ﷺ time; its full manifestation occurs as the major signs approach (including trees and stones speaking during the time of Isa AS).

[Prophetic Practice]: Remember that on the Day of Judgment our own tongues, hands, feet, and skins will testify to everything we did (Qur'an 24:24, 41:20-21).
