ما تحت أديم السماء خلق أشر من بربر، ولأن أتصدق بعلاقة سوط في سبيل الله أحب إلي من أن أعتق مائة رقبة من بربر

There is no creation under the firmament of the sky more evil than a barbarian, and for me to give a hook of a whip in charity for the sake of Allah is dearer to me than to free a hundred slaves of barbarians.

أحذركم فتنة تقبل من المشرق، ثم فتنة تقبل من المغرب

I warn you that a trial will come from the East, then a trial will come from the West

نساء البربر خير من رجالهم، بعث فيهم نبي فقتلوه، فولينه النساء فدفنه

Berber women are better than their men. A prophet was sent among them and they killed him, so the women took him to him and buried him

إن قوم هذا أتاهم نبي قبلي فذبحوه وطبخوه وأكلوا لحمه وشربوا مرقه

A prophet before me came to this people, so they slaughtered him, cooked him, ate his meat, and drank his broth

إذا أقبلت فتنة من المشرق، وفتنة من المغرب، فالتقوا ببطن الشام، فبطن الأرض يومئذ خير من ظهرها

If a trial comes from the East and a trial comes from the West, then they meet in the interior of the Sham (Greater Syria), for the interior of the earth on that day is better than its surface.

قسم الشر سبعين جزءا، فجعل تسعة وستون في البربر، وجزء في سائر الناس حدثنا بقية بن الوليد، عن بشر بن عبد الله بن يسار، قال: سمعت بعض أشياخنا يقول: إن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: نساء البربر خير من رجالهم، بعث فيهم نبي فقتلوه فولينه النساء فدفنه

He divided evil into seventy parts, making sixty-nine among the Berbers, and one part among the rest of the people. Baqiyya ibn al-Walid told us, on the authority of Bishr ibn Abdullah ibn Yasar, who said: I heard some of our sheikhs say: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him) said: The women of the Berbers are better than their men. He sent among them a prophet, so they killed him, so the women appointed him, so he buried him.

إن قوم هذا أتاهم نبي قبلي فذبحوه وطبخوه، فأكلوا لحمه، وشربوا مرقه

A prophet before me came to this people, so they slaughtered him, cooked him, ate his meat, and drank his broth.

لا يزال هذا الأمر قائما بالقسط حتى يكون أول من يثلمه رجل من بني أمية

ليفتقن رجل من ولد أبي سفيان في الإسلام فتقا لا يسده شيء

A man from the descendants of Abu Sufyan in Islam will master a gap that nothing can fill

لا يزال هذا الأمر قائما بالقسط حتى يكون أول من يثلمه رجل من بني أمية

This matter will continue to exist in fairness until the first person to speak to it is a man from the Umayyads

The exit of Sufyani after thirty-nine days

هلاكهم على يدي رجل من جنس هذه

Their destruction at the hands of a man of this gender

يلتقي أهل الشام وأهل العراق بالحص، فتكون الدبرة على أهل العراق، فيقتلونهم حتى يبلغوا بلادهم

The people of the Sham (Greater Syria) and the people of Iraq meet in Al-Has, and the people of Iraq are attacked, and they kill them until they reach their country

إذا عبر السفياني الفرات، وبلغ موضعا يقال له عاقرقوفا، محا الله تعالى الإيمان من قلبه، فيقتل بها إلى نهر يقال له الدجيل سبعين ألفا متقلدين سيوفا محلاة، وما سواهم أكثر، فيظهرون على بيت الذهب، فيقتلون المقاتلة والأبطال، ويبقرون بطون النساء، يقولون: لعلها حبلى بغلام، وتستغيث نسوة من قريش على شط الدجلة إلى المارة من أهل السفن يطلبن إليهم أن يحملوهن حتى يلقوهن إلى الناس، فلا يحملوهن بغضا لبني هاشم، فلا تبغضوا بني هاشم، فإن منهم نبي الرحمة، ومنهم الطيار في الجنة، فأما النساء فإذا جنهم الليل أوين إلى أغورها مكانا مخافة الفساق، ثم يأتيهم المدد من النصرة حتى يستنقذوا ما مع السفياني من الذراري والنساء من بغداد والكوفة

When the Sufyani crossed the Euphrates and reached a place called Aqarqofa, Allah Almighty erased the faith from his heart, and he would kill seventy thousand people with it drawn up with painted swords, and more than anything else, and they would appear at the Bayt al-Dahab, kill the fighter and the heroes, and cut open the stomachs of the women. They would say: Perhaps she is pregnant with a boy. Women from the Quraysh on the shore of the Tigris would cry for help to the people of the ships passing by, asking them to carry them until They will throw them to the people, so do not hate them for the Banu Hashim, so do not hate the Banu Hashim, for among them is the Prophet of Mercy, and among them is the pilot in Paradise. As for the women, when the night falls upon them, they take refuge in its caves, a place for fear of the immoral, then the reinforcements of victory will come to them until they rescue the children of the Sufyani and the women from Baghdad and Kufa.

يخرج رجل من أهل بيتي في تسع رايات يعني بمكة

A man from my household will emerge with nine banners

بلاء يلقاه أهل بيته حتى يبعث الله راية من المشرق سوداء، من نصرها نصره الله، ومن خذلها خذله الله، حتى يأتوا رجلا اسمه كاسمي، فيوليه أمرهم، فيؤيده الله وينصره

A calamity befalls his family until Allah sends a black banner from the East. Whoever supports it, Allah will help him, and whoever abandons it, Allah will abandon him, until they come to a man whose name is like my name, and he puts them in charge of their affairs, so Allah supports him and gives him victory.

يخرج من المشرق رايات سود لبني العباس، ثم يمكثون ما شاء الله، ثم تخرج رايات سود صغار تقاتل رجلا من ولد أبي سفيان وأصحابه من قبل المشرق، يؤدون الطاعة للمهدي

Black flags of Banu Abbas will emerge from the East, then they will stay as long as Allah wills, then small black flags will emerge from the East, fighting a man from the descendants of Abu Sufyan and his companions, performing obedience to the Mahdi.

يأتي جيش من قبل المغرب يريدون هذا البيت، حتى إذا كانوا بالبيداء خسف بهم، فيرجع من كان أمامهم لينظر ما فعل القوم، فيصيبهم ما أصابهم، ويلحق بهم من خلفهم لينظر ما فعلوه فيصيبهم ما أصابهم، فمن كان مستكرها أصابهم ما أصابهم، ثم يبعث الله تعالى كل امرئ منهم على نيته

An army comes from the west, seeking this house, until when they are in Al-Bayda, it eclipses them, and whoever was in front of them returns to see what the people did, and what befell them will happen to them, and he follows them behind them to see what they did, and what befell them will befall them. Whoever was hiding it will be hit by what befell them, then Allah Almighty will resurrect each one of them according to his intention.

يبعث إلى مكة جيش من الشام حتى إذا كانوا بالبيداء خسف بهم

A'isha reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) was startled in the state of sleep. We said:Allah's Messenger, you have done something in the state of your sleep which you never did before, Thereupon he said: Strange it is that some people of my Ummah would attack the House (Ka'ba) (for killing) a person who would belong to the tribe of the Quraish and he would try to seek protection in the House. And when they would reach the plain ground they would be sunk. We said: Allah's Messenger, all sorts of people throng the path. Thereupon he said: Yes, there would be amongst them people who would come with definite designs and those who would come under duress and there would be travellers also, but they would all be destroyed through one (stroke) of destruction. though they would be raised in different states (on the Day of Resurrection). Allah would, however, raise them according to their intention

يحسر الفرات عن جبل من ذهب وفضة، فيقتل عليه من كل تسعة سبعة، فإن أدركتموه فلا تقربوه

The Euphrates will uncover a mountain of gold and silver, and seven out of every nine will be killed for it. If you reach it, do not approach it.

الفتنة الرابعة ثمانية عشر عاما، ثم تنجلي حين تنجلي وقد انحسر الفرات عن جبل من ذهب، تكب عليه الأمة، فيقتل عليه من كل تسعة سبعة

The fourth trial lasts eighteen years, then it clears up when it clears, and the Euphrates has receded, creating a mountain of gold upon which the nation will fall, and seven out of every nine will be killed.

في المحرم ينادي مناد من السماء: ألا إن صفوة الله من خلقه فلان، فاسمعوا له وأطيعوا في سنة الصوت والمعمعة

During Muharram, a caller calls from the sky: Allah’s chosen one is so-and-so among His creation, so listen to him and obey him in the year of sound and fanfare.

في ذي القعدة تحازب القبائل، وعامئذ ينتهب الحاج، فتكون ملحمة بمنى، فيكثر فيها القتلى، وتسفك فيها الدماء حتى تسيل دماؤهم على عقبة الجمرة، حتى يهرب صاحبهم، فيؤتى بين الركن والمقام فيبايع وهو كاره، ويقال له: إن أبيت ضربنا عنقك، فيبايعه مثل عدة أهل بدر، يرضى عنه ساكن السماء، وساكن الأرض

In Dhul-Qa'dah, the tribes join forces, and in that year the pilgrims plunder, and there is a battle at Mina, in which the dead are many, and blood is shed in it until their blood flows on the Jamarat Aqaba, until their companion flees, and he is brought between the corner and the Maqam and pledged allegiance, although he is unwilling, and it is said to him: If you refuse, we will behead you, and he pledges allegiance like the number of the people of Badr, and the inhabitant of heaven and the inhabitant of earth are satisfied with him.

في ذي القعدة تحازب القبائل، وفي ذي الحجة ينهب الحاج، وفي المحرم ينادي مناد من السماء

In Dhul-Qa'dah, the tribes fight one another, in Dhul-Hijjah the pilgrims loot, and in Muharram a herald calls from the sky.

إنه يخرج من المدينة إلى مكة فيستخرجه الناس من بينهم، فيبايعونه بين الركن والمقام وهو كاره

He leaves Medina for Mecca, and the people extract him from among them, and they pledge allegiance to him between the corner and the Maqam, but he hates it
