Dhu al-Suwayqatayn destroys the Ka'bah
In brief
Near the very end, a man from Abyssinia called Dhu al-Suwayqatayn, 'the one with two thin shins', will tear down the Ka'bah stone by stone and take its treasure. After that, it will not be rebuilt. Ibn Abbas narrated: 'It is as if I can see him, black and bow-legged, pulling out its stones one by one.'
Scholars such as Ibn Hajar place this after the death of Isa (AS) and after the gentle wind has taken the believers, when no one is left on earth who says 'Allah, Allah', so there is no believer to defend it. Allah protected the Ka'bah from Abrahah's army of the elephant, and scholars explain that this protection holds as long as it is still a house of worship. Once the believers are gone, its purpose has been fulfilled.
The Prophet ﷺ said: 'Make much of this House (by Hajj and Umrah) before it is lifted.'
Where it sits in the sequence
The sun rising from the west and the Beast come close together, whichever is first (Sahih Muslim 2941). One version of Sahih Muslim 2901 ends its list with a fire that drives people to their gathering. The narrations here do not fix the places of the Smoke or the destruction of the Ka'bah.

'The Ka'bah will be destroyed by Dhul-Suwayqatayn from Abyssinia' (Sahih al-Bukhari 1591), stone by stone (Musnad Ahmad). The commentators place this at the very end, after the believers are gone. The Ka'bah has been damaged and rebuilt before; the record below is history, not the sign.
