الملك لبني العباس حتى يبلغكم كتاب قرئ بمصر: من عبد الله عبد الله أمير المؤمنين، فإذا كان ذلك فهو أول زوال ملكهم، وانقطاع مدتهم

The kingdom belongs to the Abbasids until a letter read in Egypt reaches you: From Abdullah Abdullah, Commander of the Faithful. If that happens, it will be the beginning of the demise of their kingdom and the end of their term.

If a man of the Abbasids is called Abdullah, and he is the one with the eyes of the afterlife among them, with it they open and with it they seal, then he is the key to the sword of annihilation. If a letter is read to him in the Sham (Greater Syria): From Abdullah Abdullah, Commander of the Faithful, soon you will be informed of a letter that was read on the pulpit of Egypt: From Abdullah Abd al-Rahman, Commander of the Faithful. If that is the case, the people of the East and the people of the West rush to the Sham (Greater Syria) like a betting horse. They see that kingship is not complete except for the one who controls the Sham (Greater Syria). Everyone says: Whoever conquers it has captured the kingdom.

Al-Sufyani will come in his dream and it will be said to him: Get up and go out. He will get up and find no one. Then he will come a second time and it will be said to him like that. Then he will be told a third time: Get up and go out and see who is at the door of your house. The third time he will go down to the door of his house, and he will find seven or nine people with a banner. They will say: We are your companions. Then he will go out among them and people from the villages of Wadi Al-Yabis will follow him. Then the owner of Damascus will go out to meet him and fight him. Bedouin, the difference between the Abbasids, a banner that would emerge from Khurasan, and there would be an epic between them in the saffron beds, in which all people and tribes would be killed. Then the people would reach the battle that took place in the saffron beds while he was in the pure city between the rivers, and he would go out with the wealth he had collected there until he settled in the city of idols, meaning Harran. Then the news would come to him that a king in the Maghreb had revolted, so he would send soldiers to defeat them, until he would descend with those who were with him in the Sham (Greater Syria), so he would call out a herald. From the sky: Woe to the land of Homs, Al-Ayn Al-Sinja, so every man of Baal bears her husband, and every woman has her son’s son. Then he goes on until he descends between the rivers and kills a great tyrant with it, and swears by it. Then he goes to the city of idols, meaning Harran, and rips out the stomach of its owner there, and disperses his crowds. He is sent to the East and pledges allegiance to them, hating and disobedient, and stays there for eight months. Then he goes to Khabur and stays there for seven weeks, then he goes to a resting place. The bull leaves it as a ram, and the owner of the East isolates him to the mountains of Al-Jawf, then a man from his house betrays him and kills him, then the owner of the East comes until he descends between Harran and Edessa, then the rebellious man comes out of the head’s house.

While the owners of the black banners were fighting among themselves, the seventh of seven came out, and he sent to the people of the villages asking them to support him, but they refused him. The Abbasid official at Tiberias was informed of his exit, and he sent to him a large crowd. If they confronted him, they all turned to him, except for their friend who led them. Then he fights him at the Lake of Tiberias, until the calves of the lake are red with their blood, then he defeats them, then they gather for him in Al-Jabiya a great crowd, so woe to him whose family is from Al-Jabiya five miles away, and blessed is he whose family is behind that, so he defeats them.
