Black flags of Banu Abbas will emerge from the East, then they will remain as long as Allah wills, then small black flags will emerge from a man from the descendants of Abu Sufyan and his companions from the East.

تظهر رايات سود لبني العباس حتى ينزلوا الشام، ويقتل الله على أيديهم كل جبار عنيد أو عدوا لهم، يرابط بساحتهم أدم خمسة وأربعين صباحا، فيدخلها سبعون ألفا شعارهم فيها: أمت أمت، ثم تضع الحرب أوزارها، فيمكث ملكهم تسعا في سبع، ثم ينتكث أمرهم بعد ثلاث وسبعين سنة

Black banners of the Abbasids will appear until they descend on the Sham (Greater Syria), and Allah will kill at their hands every stubborn tyrant or enemy of theirs. Adam will station in their square for forty-five mornings, and seventy thousand will enter it, and their slogan there will be: “Ammah, Ammah.” Then the war will end, and their rule will last nine times out of seven, then their rule will be broken after seventy-three years.

تخرج لبني العباس رايتان إحداهما أولها نصر وآخرها وزر، لا ينصرونها لا نصرها الله، والأخرى أولها وزر وآخرها كفر لا ينصرونها لا نصرها الله

Two banners will emerge from the Abbasids, one of which has the beginning of victory and the end of which is a burden. They will not help it, but Allah will not help it. هلاكهم إذا اختلفوا بينهم، فأول علامة تكون من انقطاع ملكهم اختلاف بينهم حدثنا محمد بن عبد الله، عن عبد السلام بن مسلمة، عن أبي قبيل، قال: لا يزال الناس بخير في رخاء ما لم ينقض ملك بني العباس، فإذا انتقض ملكهم لم يزالوا في فتن حتى يقوم المهدي

The people will continue to be well in prosperity as long as the rule of the Abbasids is not ended. If their rule is ended, they will continue to be in turmoil until the Mahdi arises.

لا تزال أصحاب الرايات السود شديدة رقابهم حتى يختلفوا فيما بينهم، يخالف بعضهم بعضا، فيفترقون ثلاث فرق، فرقة يدعون لبني فاطمة، وفرقة تدعو لبني العباس، وفرقة تدعو لأنفسهم ، قلت: ومن أنفسهم؟ قال: لا أدري، هكذا سمعت

السابع من بني العباس يدعو الناس إلى الكفر فلا يجيبونه، فيقول له أهل بيته: تريد أن تخرجنا من معايشنا؟ فيقول: إني أسير فيكم بسيرة أبي بكر وعمر رضي الله عنهما، فيأبون عليه، فيقتله عدو له من أهل بيته من بني هاشم، فإذا وثب عليه اختلفوا فيما بينهم فذكر اختلافا طويلا إلى خروج السفياني

إذا خلع من بني العباس رجلان وهما الفرعان وقع بينهما الاختلاف الأول، ثم يتبعه الاختلاف الآخر الذي فيه الفناء، وخروج السفياني عند اختلافهم الثاني

إذا خسف بقرية يقال لها حرستا، وخلع خليفتان من بني العباس، واختلف آل العباس بينهم حتى يرفع فيهم اثنا عشر لواء، وثنتا عشرة راية، فعندها يغلب عليهم الفتن في دار ملكهم، وبها يجتمعون، فعند ذلك الآخرة، ويعبر جيحون، وبها يجتمعون، وعند ذلك سقوط ملكهم، وخروج البربر على الشام

If a village called Harasta is eclipsed, and two caliphs from the Abbasids are deposed, and the Abbasids disagree among themselves until twelve banners and twelve banners are raised among them, then turmoil will prevail over them in the abode of their kingship, and they will gather in it, and at that time the Hereafter, and the Gihon will cross, and in it they will gather, and at that time their king will fall, and the barbarians will emerge from the Sham (Greater Syria).

The last sign of the demise of the rule of the Banu Abbas are three kings among them who succeed one another. Their names are the names of the prophets. They will not exceed them after these kings. The duration of the Banu Abbas among these three kings is forty years. If you see differences among them, and a group of Banu Hashim gathered between the two rivers, and the mandate of a man from the Banu Abbas towards the west, and the clashing of the black flags, and zeroing in the navel of the Sham (Greater Syria), and the killing of the governor of Egypt, and the prevention of its tax, then it is a sign of the interruption of their period.

Five of the sons of Abbas will follow, all of them are titans. Woe to the earth among them. The fifth of the sons of Abbas will die, and a leaper like a lion will leap upon him. He will eat with his mouth and spoil with his hands. The heavens will rejoice to Allah Almighty because of the blood that is being spilled on the earth. He will reign two or three mornings. Then he will follow a ruler of some of the brothers of the camels. Then he will come and a caller will call from the heavens: The earth is Allah’s land, and the servants are Allah’s servants. Allah’s wealth is equal among His servants. He reigns in this state for ten years.

هلاك بني العباس عند نجم يظهر في الجوف، وهدة، وواهية، يكون ذلك أجمع في شهر رمضان، تكون الحمرة ما بين الخمس إلى العشرين من رمضان، والهدة فيما بين النصف إلى العشرين، والواهية ما بين العشرين إلى أربعة وعشرين، ونجم يرمى به يضيء كما يضيء القمر، ثم يلتوي كما تلتوي الحية، حتى يكاد رأساها يلتقيان، والرجفتان في ليلة الفسحين، والنجم الذي يرمى به شهاب ينقض من السماء، معها صوت شديد حتى يقع في المشرق، ويصيب الناس منه بلاء شديد

The destruction of the Abbasids occurred when a star appeared in the stomach, and a wadah, and a weak one, all of which occurred in the month of Ramadan. The redness occurred between the fifth and the twentieth of Ramadan, and the huddha was between the middle and the twentieth, and the wahiyah was between the twentieth and twenty-fourth, and a star thrown by it shines as the moon shines, then it twists like a serpent twists, until its heads almost meet, and the two tremors on the night of the break of dawn, and the star that is thrown by a shooting star strikes. From the sky, accompanied by a strong sound until it falls in the east, and people suffer from it a severe calamity

الملك لبني العباس حتى يبلغكم كتاب قرئ بمصر: من عبد الله عبد الله أمير المؤمنين، فإذا كان ذلك فهو أول زوال ملكهم، وانقطاع مدتهم

إذا ملك رجل من بني العباس يقال له عبد الله، وهو ذو العين الآخرة منهم، بها افتتحوا وبها يختمون، فهو مفتاح سيف الفناء، فإذا قرئ كتاب له بالشام: من عبد الله عبد الله أمير المؤمنين، لم تلبثوا أن يبلغكم كتاب قد قرئ على منبر مصر: من عبد الله عبد الرحمن أمير المؤمنين، فإذا كان ذلك ابتدر أهل المشرق وأهل المغرب الشام كفرسي رهان، يرون أن الملك لا يتم إلا لمن ضبط الشام، كل يقول: من غلب عليها فقد حوى على الملك

If a man of the Abbasids is called Abdullah, and he is the one with the eyes of the afterlife among them, with it they open and with it they seal, then he is the key to the sword of annihilation. يخرج السفياني من الوادي اليابس، يخرج إليه صاحب دمشق ليقاتله، فإذا نظر إلى رايته انهزم قال عبد القدوس: والي دمشق وال لبني العباس يومئذ
