ثم يظهر المهدي بمكة عند العشاء ومعه راية رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم وقميصه وسيفه، وعلامات ونور وبيان، فإذا صلى العشاء نادى بأعلى صوته يقول: أذكركم الله أيها الناس، ومقامكم بين يدي ربكم، فقد اتخذ الحجة، وبعث الأنبياء، وأنزل الكتاب، وأمركم أن لا تشركوا به شيئا، وأن تحافظوا على طاعته وطاعة رسوله، وأن تحيوا ما أحيا القرآن، وتميتوا ما أمات، وتكونوا أعوانا على الهدى، ووزرا على التقوى، فإن الدنيا قد دنا فناؤها وزوالها، وأذنت بالوداع، فإني أدعوكم إلى الله، وإلى رسوله، والعمل بكتابه، وإماتة الباطل، وإحياء سنته، فيظهر في ثلاثمائة وثلاثة عشر رجلا، عدة أهل بدر، على غير ميعاد قرعا كقرع الخريف، رهبان بالليل، أسد بالنهار، فيفتح الله للمهدي أرض الحجاز، ويستخرج من كان في السجن من بني هاشم، وتنزل الرايات السود الكوفة، فيبعث بالبيعة إلى المهدي، ويبعث المهدي جنوده في الآفاق، ويميت الجور وأهله، وتستقيم له البلدان، ويفتح الله على يديه القسطنطينية

Then the Mahdi will appear in Mecca at the evening prayer, carrying the banner of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, his shirt, his sword, and signs, light, and a statement. When he prays the evening prayer, he calls out at the top of his voice, saying: I remind you of Allah, O people, and your position is in the hands of your Lord. He has taken the proof, sent the prophets, and revealed the Book, and commanded you not to associate anything with it, and to maintain obedience to Him and obedience to His Messenger, and to live what the Qur’an has enlivened, and to die. What has died, and be a helper to guidance and a burden to piety, for the world has approached its end and its extinction, and it has called for farewell. I call you to Allah, and to His Messenger, and to act according to His Book, and to kill falsehood, and to revive its Sunnah. Then three hundred and thirteen men, the number of the people of Badr, will appear without appointment, with a lottery like the autumn lottery, monks by night, a lion by day, so Allah will open for the Mahdi the land of Hijaz, and he will be extracted from He was in prison from Bani Hashim, and the black flags descended on Kufa, and he sent the pledge of allegiance to the Mahdi, and the Mahdi would send his soldiers in the horizons, and he would kill oppression and its people, and countries would straighten up for him, and Allah would conquer Constantinople at his hands.

إذا انقطعت التجارات والطرق، وكثرت الفتن، خرج سبعة رجال علماء من أفق شتى، على غير ميعاد، يبايع لكل رجل منهم ثلاثمائة وبضعة عشر رجلا، حتى يجتمعوا بمكة، فيلتقي السبعة، فيقول بعضهم لبعض: ما جاء بكم؟ فيقولون: جئنا في طلب هذا الرجل الذي ينبغي أن تهدأ على يديه هذه الفتن، وتفتح له القسطنطينية، قد عرفناه باسمه واسم أبيه وأمه وحليته، فيتفق السبعة على ذلك، فيطلبونه فيصيبونه بمكة، فيقولون له: أنت فلان بن فلان؟ فيقول: لا، بل أنا رجل من الأنصار، حتى يفلت منهم، فيصفونه لأهل الخبرة والمعرفة به، فيقال: هو صاحبكم الذي تطلبونه، وقد لحق بالمدينة، فيطلبونه بالمدينة فيخالفهم إلى مكة، فيطلبونه بمكة فيصيبونه، فيقولون: أنت فلان بن فلان، وأمك فلانة بنت فلان، وفيك آية كذا وكذا، وقد أفلت منا مرة، فمد يدك نبايعك؟ فيقول: لست بصاحبكم، أنا فلان بن فلان الأنصاري، مروا بنا أدلكم على صاحبكم، حتى يفلت منهم، فيطلبونه بالمدينة فيخالفهم إلى مكة، فيصيبونه بمكة عند الركن، فيقولون: إثمنا عليك، ودماؤنا في عنقك إن لم تمد يدك نبايعك، هذا عسكر السفياني قد توجه في طلبنا، عليهم رجل من جرم، فيجلس بين الركن والمقام، فيمد يده فيبايع له، ويلقي الله محبته في صدور الناس، فيسير مع قوم أسد بالنهار، رهبان بالليل

If trade and roads are cut off, and strife increases, seven scholarly men from various regions will come out without an appointment, and three hundred and fifteen men will pledge allegiance to each of them, until they meet in Mecca, and the seven will meet and say to each other: What has brought you? They say: We have come in search of this man, at whose hands these temptations should be calmed, and Constantinople should be opened to him. We have known him by his name, the name of his father and mother, and his jewelry. So the seven agree on that, so they seek him and attack him in Mecca, and they say to him: Are you so-and-so, son of so-and-so? So he says: No, but I am a man from the Ansar, until he escapes from them, and they describe him to the people with experience and knowledge of him, and it is said: He is your friend whom you are looking for, and he has joined Medina. Then they search for him in Medina and he goes against them to Mecca. They search for him in Mecca and catch him. They say: You are so-and-so, son of so-and-so, and your mother is so-and-so, daughter of so-and-so, and such-and-such is among you, and he escaped from us once, so extend your hand so we can pledge allegiance to you? He says: I am not your friend. I am so-and-so, the son of so-and-so, Al-Ansari. Pass by us and I will guide you to your friend, until he escapes from them. They seek him in Medina and he goes with them to Mecca. They catch him in Mecca at the Corner, and they say: Our sin is upon you, and our blood is on your neck if you do not extend your hand to pledge allegiance to us. This is the army of Al-Sufyani, who has directed our request. A man of crime is upon them. He sits between the Corner and the Maqam, so he extends his hand and pledges allegiance to him, and Allah casts His love in them. People's chests, so he walks with lion's people during the day and monks at night

إذا بعث السفياني إلى المهدي جيشا فخسف بهم بالبيداء، وبلغ ذلك أهل الشام قالوا لخليفتهم: قد خرج المهدي فبايعه وادخل في طاعته، وإلا قتلناك، فيرسل إليه بالبيعة ويسير المهدي حتى ينزل بيت المقدس، وتنقل إليه الخزائن، وتدخل العرب والعجم وأهل الحرب والروم وغيرهم في طاعته من غير قتال، حتى تبنى المساجد بالقسطنطينية وما دونها، ويخرج قبله رجل من أهل بيته بأهل المشرق، يحمل السيف على عاتقه ثمانية أشهر، يقتل ويمثل، ويتوجه إلى بيت المقدس، فلا يبلغه حتى يموت

If Al-Sufyani sends an army to the Mahdi and he overwhelms them in Al-Bayda, and this reaches the people of the Sham (Greater Syria), they say to their caliph: The Mahdi has left, so pledge allegiance to him and enter into obedience to him, otherwise we will kill you. Then he will be sent to him with the pledge of allegiance, and the Mahdi will travel until he descends on Jerusalem, and the treasuries will be transferred to him, and the Arabs, Persians, people of war, Romans, and others will enter into obedience to him without fighting, until mosques are built in Constantinople and below, and a man from the people of Jerusalem will emerge before him. His home is among the people of the East. He carries the sword on his shoulder for eight months. He kills and mutilates. He heads to Jerusalem, and does not reach it until he dies.

لا يكون بعد المهدي أحد من أهل بيته يعدل في الناس، وليطولن جورهم على الناس بعد المهدي حتى يصلي الناس على بني العباس ويقولون: يا ليتهم مكانهم، فلا يزال الناس كذلك حتى يغزوا مع واليهم القسطنطينية، وهو رجل صالح يسلمها إلى عيسى ابن مريم عليه السلام، ولا يزال الناس في رخاء ما لم ينتقض ملك بني العباس، فإذا انتقض ملكهم لم يزالوا في فتن حتى يقوم المهدي

After the Mahdi, there will not be anyone from his family who treats people justly, and their oppression of the people after the Mahdi will continue until the people pray for the Abbasids and say: I wish they were in their place. The people will continue like this until they invade with their ruler Constantinople, who is a righteous man who will hand it over to Jesus son of Mary (peace be upon him). The people will continue to be prosperous as long as the rule of the Abbasids is not overturned. If their rule is overturned, they will continue to be in temptation until the Mahdi rises.

بلغني أن المهدي يمكث أربع عشرة سنة ببيت المقدس، ثم يموت، ثم يكون من بعده شريف الذكر من قوم تبع، يقال له منصور ببيت المقدس، إحدى وعشرين سنة، خمسة عشر منها عدل، وثلاث سنين جور، وثلاث سنين منها حرمان الأموال، لا يعطى أحد درهما، يقسم أهل الذمة بين مقاتلته، وهو الذي ينفي الموالي عمق الأعماق، وهو الذي يدوس ولد إسماعيل كما يدوس البقر الأندر، وهو الذي يخرج عليه المولى، اسمه اسم نبي، وكنيته كنية نبي، يسير إليه من الأعماق حتى يلقى منصورا ببطن أريحاء، فيقاتله فيقتله، ثم يملك المولى وينفي ولد قحطان وولد إسماعيل، إلى مدينتي كنز العرب المدينة وصنعاء، وهو الذي يخرج على يديه الترك والروم حتى يملكوا ما بين عمق أنطاكية إلى جبل الكرمل بفلسطين بمرج مدينة عكا، يملك المولى ثلاث سنين، ثم يقتل، ثم يملك من بعده هيم المهدي الثاني، وهو الذي يقتل الروم ويهزمهم، ويفتح القسطنطينية، ويقيم فيها ثلاث سنين وأربعة أشهر وعشرة أيام، ثم ينزل عيسى ابن مريم عليه السلام، فيسلم الملك إليه

I have heard that the Mahdi will stay for fourteen years in Jerusalem, then he will die, and then after him he will be of honorable mention from the people of Tabi’. He is called Mansour in Jerusalem. Twenty-one years, fifteen of which are justice, three years of oppression, and three years of which are deprivation of property. No one is given a dirham. The people of the Dhimma are divided among those who fight him. He is the one who exiles the loyal ones to the depths of the depths. He is the one who tramples the son of Ishmael like the rarest cow is trampled upon. A prophet, and his nickname is the nickname of a prophet. He goes to him from the depths until he meets a victor in the depths of Jericho, and he fights him and kills him. Then the Lord reigns and banishes the sons of Qahtan and the sons of Ismail, to the two cities of Kanz al-Arab, Medina and Sana’a. He is the one who will expel the Turks and the Romans at his hands until they rule from the depths of Antioch to Mount Carmel in Palestine in the meadow of the city of Acre. The Lord reigns for three years, then he is killed, and after him Haim the Second Mahdi will reign. Who kills the Romans and defeats them, and conquers Constantinople, and resides there for three years, four months and ten days, then Jesus, son of Mary (peace be upon him), descends and the kingdom is handed over to him.

ينزل خليفة من بني هاشم بيت المقدس يملأ الأرض عدلا، يبني بيت المقدس بناء لم يبن مثله، يملك أربعين سنة، تكون هدنة الروم على يديه في سبع سنين بقين من خلافته، ثم يغدرون به، ثم يجتمعون له بالعمق، فيموت فيها غما، ثم يلي بعده رجل من بني هاشم، ثم تكون هزيمتهم، وفتح القسطنطينية على يديه، ثم يسير إلى رومية فيفتحها، ويستخرج كنوزها ومائدة سليمان بن داود عليهما السلام، ثم يرجع إلى بيت المقدس فينزلها، ويخرج الدجال في زمانه، وينزل عيسى ابن مريم عليه السلام فيصلي خلفه

A caliph from the Banu Hashim will descend on Jerusalem and fill the earth with justice. He will build Jerusalem a building that has never been built before. He will rule for forty years. The Roman truce will be under his control for seven years remaining in his caliphate. Then they will betray him, then they will gather for him in the depths, and he will die there in grief. Then a man from the Banu Hashim will follow after him, then their defeat will occur, and the conquest of Constantinople will be on his hands. Then he will go to Rome and conquer it, extracting its treasures and the table of Suleiman ibn David, peace be upon them, then returns to Jerusalem and descends there. The Dajjal will emerge in his time, and Jesus, son of Mary (peace be upon him), will descend and pray behind him.

على يدي ذلك الخليفة اليماني الذي تفتح القسطنطينية ورومية على يديه، يخرج الدجال وفي زمانه ينزل عيسى ابن مريم عليه السلام، على يديه تكون غزوة الهند، وهو من بني هاشم ، غزوة الهند التي قال فيها أبو هريرة

At the hands of that Yamani Caliph, through whom Constantinople and Rome were conquered, the Dajjal will emerge, and in his time Jesus, son of Mary (peace be upon him), will descend. The Battle of India will take place at his hands, and he is from Banu Hashim.

كذب، أصلح الله الأمير، أنا أعرف الناس بطبارس، لو كان بين عشرة آلاف لأخرجته، طبارس رجل آدم جسيم، أجبه، قبيح الأسنان، يخرج وهو ابن ستين سنة، يرى بالدم شرب الماء، يقول: إلى متى نترك أكلة الجمل في بلادنا وأرضنا، سيروا بنا إلى أكلة الجمل نستبيحهم، قال: فيسيرون إليه بجمع لم يسيروا بمثله قط، حتى ينزلوا عمقا، ويبلغ المسلمين مسيره ومنزله، فيستمدون حتى يأتيهم أقاصي اليمن، ينصرون الإسلام، ويمد هؤلاء النصارى نصارى الجزيرة والشام، فيسير المسلمون إليهم، فيرفع النصر عنهم، وينزل الصبر عليهم، ويسلط الحديد بعضه على بعض، لا يضر الرجل أن يكون معه سيف لا يجدع الأنف، لا يكون مكانه الصمصامة، لا يضعه على شيء إلا أبانه، وترجع طائفة من المسلمين يخذلونهم، فيذهبون في مهيل من الأرض، لا يرون الجنة ولا أهاليهم أبدا، وتقتل طائفة، وينزل الله نصره على طائفة هم أخير أهل الأرض يومئذ، للشهيد منهم أجر سبعين شهيدا على من كان قبله، وللباقي كفلان من الأجر، فإذا التقوا أخذ الراية رجل فيقتل، ثم آخر فيقتل، ثم آخر فيقتل، حتى يأخذها رجل آدم، جعد الشعر، أجبه أقنى، فيفتح الله له، فيقتلهم ويهزمهم، ويبيع مالهم، وهو معتقل رايته لا يحملها غيره، حتى ينتهي إلى الخليج، فإذا انتهى إلى الخليج يقدم ليتوضأ منه، فيتباعد الماء عنه، ثم يدنو فيتباعد الماء عنه، فإذا رأى ذلك رجع إلى دابته فأخذها، ثم جاز الخليج والماء فرقتان، نصف عن يمينه، ونصف عن شماله، وأشار إلى أصحابه أن أجيزوا، فإن الله تعالى قد فرق لكم البحر كما فرقه لبني إسرائيل، فجازوا إليه، فيأتي عينا عند كنيسة من ذلك الجانب من الخليج قال أبو زرعة: قد رأيت تلك العين، وتوضأت منها، عين عذبة، فيتوضأ منها، ويصلي ركعتين، ويقول لأصحابه: هذا أمر أذن الله تعالى فيه، فكبروه، وهللوه، واحمدوه، فيفعلون، فيميل ما بين اثني عشر برجا منها، فتسقط إلى الأرض فيدخلونها، فيومئذ يقتل مقاتلتها، ويقسم نهبها، وتترك خرابا لا تعمر أبدا

Abu Zar’ah said: I have seen that spring ، And I performed ablution from her ، A fresh spring ، He performs ablution from it ، He prays two rak'ahs ، He says to his companions: This is a matter that Allah Almighty has permitted ، So they enlarged it ، And they greeted him ، And praise Him ، And they do ، It tends between twelve signs of it ، Then it falls to the ground and they enter it ، On that day, her fighter will be killed ، And he divides his loot ، It leaves ruins that will never be restored

والذي نفسي بيده، لتتسعن على من يأتيها من المسلمين كما يتسع الرحم على الولد قال: قلت: وما المعنق يا نبي الله؟ قال: جبل بأرض الشام من حمص، على نهر يقال له الأرنط، فتكون ذراري المسلمين في أعلى المعنق، والمسلمون على نهر الأرنط، والمشركون خلف نهر الأرنط يقاتلونهم صباحا ومساء، فإذا أبصر ذلك صاحب القسطنطينية وجه في البر إلى قنسرين ستمائة ألف حتى تجيئهم مادة اليمن سبعين ألفا، ألف الله قلوبهم بالإيمان، معهم أربعون ألفا من حمير، حتى يأتوا بيت المقدس، فيقاتلون الروم فيهزمونهم، ويخرجونهم من جند إلى جند، حتى يأتوا قنسرين وتجيئهم مادة الموالي قال: قلت: وما مادة الموالي يا رسول الله؟ قال: " هم عتاقتكم، وهم منكم قوم يجيئون من قبل فارس، فيقولون: تعصبتم يا معشر العرب، لا نكون مع أحد من الفريقين، أو تجتمع كلمتكم، فتقاتل نزار يوما، واليمن يوما، والموالي يوما، فيخرجون الروم إلى العمق، وينزل المسلمون على نهر يقال له كذا وكذا، يغزى والمشركون على نهر يقال له الرقبة، وهو النهر الأسود، فيقاتلونهم فيرفع الله تعالى نصره عن العسكرين، وينزل صبره عليهما، حتى يقتل من المسلمين الثلث، ويفر ثلث، ويبقى الثلث، فأما الثلث الذين يقتلون فشهيدهم كشهيد عشرة من شهداء بدر، يشفع الواحد من شهداء بدر لسبعين، وشهيد الملاحم يشفع لسبعمائة، وأما الثلث الذين يفرون فإنهم يفترقون ثلاثة أثلاث، ثلث يلحقون بالروم، ويقولون: لو كان لله بهذا الدين من حاجة لنصرهم، وهم مسلمة العرب: بهراء وتنوخ وطيئ وسليم، وثلث يقولون: منازل آبائنا وأجدادنا خير، لا تنالنا الروم أبدا، مروا بنا إلى البدو، وهم الأعراب، وثلث يقولون: إن كل شيء كاسمه، وأرض الشام كاسمها الشؤم، فسيروا بنا إلى العراق واليمن والحجاز، حيث لا نخاف الروم ، وأما الثلث الباقي فيمشي بعضهم إلى بعض يقولون: الله الله، دعوا عنكم العصبية، ولتجتمع كلمتكم وقاتلوا عدوكم، فإنكم لن تنصروا ما تعصبتم، فيجتمعون جميعا ويتبايعون على أن يقاتلوا حتى يلحقوا بإخوانهم الذين قتلوا، فإذا أبصر الروم إلى من قد تحول إليهم، ومن قتل، ورأوا قلة المسلمين، قام رومي بين الصفين معه بند في أعلاه صليب، فينادي: غلب الصليب، غلب الصليب، فيقوم رجل من المسلمين بين الصفين ومعه بند فينادي: بل غلب أنصار الله، بل غلب أنصار الله وأولياؤه، فيغضب الله تعالى على الذين كفروا من قولهم: غلب الصليب، فيقول: يا جبريل، أغث عبادي، فينزل جبريل في مائة ألف من الملائكة ويقول: يا ميكائيل، أغث عبادي، فينحدر ميكائيل في مائتي ألف من الملائكة، ويقول: يا إسرافيل، أغث عبادي، فينحدر إسرافيل في ثلاثمائة ألف من الملائكة، وينزل الله نصره على المؤمنين، وينزل بأسه على الكفار، فيقتلون ويهزمون، ويسير المسلمون في أرض الروم حتى يأتوا عمورية، وعلى سورها خلق كثير، يقولون: ما رأينا شيئا أكثر من الروم، كم قتلنا وهزمنا وما أكثرهم في هذه المدينة وعلى سورها، فيقولون: أمنونا على أن نؤدي إليكم الجزية، فيأخذون الأمان لهم ولجميع الروم على أداء الجزية، وتجتمع إليهم أطرافهم، فيقولون: يا معشر العرب إن الدجال قد خالفكم إلى دياركم ، والخبر باطل، فمن كان فيهم منكم فلا يلقين شيئا مما معه، فإنه قوة لكم على ما بقي، فيخرجون فيجدون الخبر باطلا، وتثب الروم على ما بقي في بلادهم من العرب فيقتلونهم، حتى لا يبقى بأرض الروم عربي ولا عربية، ولا ولد عربي إلا قتل، فيبلغ ذلك المسلمين فيرجعون غضبا لله عز وجل، فيقتلون مقاتلتهم ويسبون الذراري، ويجمعون الأموال، لا ينزلون على مدينة ولا حصن فوق ثلاثة أيام حتى يفتح لهم، وينزلون على الخليج، ويمد الخليج حتى يفيض، فيصبح أهل القسطنطينية يقولون: الصليب مد لنا بحرنا، والمسيح ناصرنا فيصبحون والخليج يابس، فتضرب فيه الأخبية، ويحسر البحر عن القسطنطينية، ويحيط المسلمون بمدينة الكفر ليلة الجمعة بالتحميد والتكبير والتهليل إلى الصباح، ليس فيهم نائم ولا جالس، فإذا طلع الفجر كبر المسلمون تكبيرة واحدة، فيسقط ما بين البرجين، فتقول الروم: إنما كنا نقاتل العرب، فالآن نقاتل ربنا وقد هدم لهم مدينتنا وخربها لهم، فيمكثون بأيديهم، ويكيلون الذهب بالأترسة، ويقتسمون الذراري حتى يبلغ سهم الرجل منهم ثلاثمائة عذراء، ويتمتعوا بما في أيديهم ما شاء الله، ثم يخرج الدجال حقا، ويفتح الله القسطنطينية على يد أقوام هم أولياء الله، يرفع الله عنهم الموت والمرض والسقم، حتى ينزل عليهم عيسى ابن مريم عليه السلام، فيقاتلون معه الدجال

He said: A mountain in the Sham (Greater Syria), from Homs ، On a river called Al-Arnt ، So the descendants of the Muslims will be at the top of the neck ، And the Muslims on the Arnt River ، The polytheists behind the Arnt River are fighting them morning and evening ، When the ruler of Constantinople sees this, he will send six hundred thousand to Qinnasrin on land, until the Yemeni border reaches them, seventy thousand. ، Allah united their hearts with faith ، With them were forty thousand donkeys ، Until they come to Jerusalem ، They fight the Romans and defeat them ، And they drive them out from one army to another ، Until they come to Qansrin and the material of the loyal one comes to them. يدخل الروم بيت المقدس سبعون صليبا حتى يهدموه، ولا تزال طاعة معمول بها ما كانت الخلافة في أرض القدس والشام، وأول السواحل يغضب الله عليه فيخسف به الصارفية وقيسارية وبيروت، ويملك الروم والشام أربعين يوما من شاطئ البحر إلى الأردن وبيسان، ثم تكون الغلبة للمسلمين عليهم، يصالحونها حتى يجري سلطانهم عليهم، وتأمن الأرض كلها سبعا تسعا قال كعب: " يخلع أهل العراق الطاعة، ويقتلون أميرهم من أهل الشام، فيغزوهم أهل الشام، ويستمدون عليهم الروم، وقد صالحوا الروم قبل أن يستمدوهم، فيمدوهم بعشرة آلاف حتى يبلغوا الفرات، فيلتقون فيكون الظفر لأهل الشام عليهم، ثم يدخلون الكوفة فيسبون أهلها، ثم يقول الروم للشاميين: أشركونا فيما أصبتم من السبي، فيقولون: أما ما كان من المسلمين فلا سبيل إليه، ونقاسمكم الأموال، فيقول الروم: إنما غلبتموهم بالصليب، ويقول المسلمون: بل بالله وبرسوله صلى الله عليه وسلم غلبناهم، فيتداولونه بينهم، فيغضب الروم، فيقوم إلى صليبهم رجل من المسلمين فيكسره، فيفترقون، ويحوز الروم إلى نهر يحول بينهم وبينهم، وتنقض الروم صلحها، ويقتلون من بالقسطنطينية من المسلمين، ثم يخرج الروم في ساحل حمص، فيخرج أهل حمص إليهم، فيغلق الأعاجم أبواب مدينة حمص عليهم، وينزل ملك الروم فحمايا، لا يجاوز القنطرة التي دون دير بهراء، فيقول الروم للمسلمين: خلوا لنا حمص، فإنها منزل آبائنا، فيقتتلون حتى يبلغ الدم الأحجار السبع الأواسط منها الأبارص، ثم يهزمون الروم ، ويرجع المسلمون إلى حمص ويربطون خيولهم بالزيتون، وينصبون المجانيق عليها، ويهدمون كنيسة دير مسحل، وتفتح حمص للمسلمين برجل من اليهود من بابها الغربي الأيمن، أو من الباب المغلق الذي بين باب دمشق وباب اليهود، فيدخلها المهاجرون، وتهرب طائفة من أنصارها إلى دير بني أسد، فيقتلهم المسلمون ومن بها من الأعاجم ويخربون ثلثها، ويحرقون ثلثها، ويغرقون ثلثها، ولا تزال الشام عامرة ما عمرت حمص

ثم تستمد الروم بالأمم الثانية، فتجيش عليهم الألسنة المختلفة، ويجتمع إليهم أهل رومية، والقسطنطينية، وأرمينية، حتى الرعاة والحراثون يغضبون لملك الروم، فيقبل بأمم كثيرة سوى الروم ملوك عشرة، يبلغ جميعهم مائة ألف وثمانين ألفا، وتنزوي العرب بعضها إلى بعض من أقطار الأرض، ويجتمع الجناحان: مصر والعراق بالشام، وهي الرأس، ويقبل ملك الروم على منبر محمول على بغلين، فيوجهون جيوشهم فيجولون الشام كلها غير دمشق، فيسير إليهم المسلمون على أقدامهم، فيلتقون في عمق كذا وكذا، أربع مواطن، فيسير الجمعان على نهر ماؤه بارد في الصيف، حار في الشتاء، فيفور ماؤه ويكثر يومئذ، فينزل المهاجرون أدناه، والروم أقصاه، ويربطون خيولهم بالشجر الذي عند رحالهم، ويستعدون للقتال حتى يصيروا في أرض قنسرين، فيكون منزلهم ما بين حمص وأنطاكية، والعرب فيما بين بصرى ودمشق وما وراءهما، فلا يبقي الروم خشبا ولا حطبا ولا شجرا إلا أوقدوه، فيلتقي الجمعان عند نهير فيما بين حلب وقنسرين، ثم يصيرون إلى عمق من الأرض فيه عظم قتالهم، فمن حضر ذلك اليوم فليكن في الزحف الأول، فإن لم يستطع ففي الثاني أو الثالث أو الرابع أو الآخر، فإن لم يطق فليلزم فسطاط الجماعة لا يفارقها، فإن يد الله تعالى عليهم، ومن هرب يومئذ لم يرح ريح الجنة، فيقول الروم للمسلمين: خلوا لنا أرضنا، وردوا إلينا كل أحمر وهجين منكم وأبناء السراري، فيقول المسلمون: من شاء لحق بكم، ومن شاء دفع عن دينه ونفسه، فيغضب بنو هجن، والسراري والحمراء، فيعقدون لرجل من الحمراء راية، وهو السلطان الذي وعد إبراهيم وإسحاق أن يعطوا في آخر الزمان، فيبايعونه، ثم يقاتلون وحدهم الروم، فينصرون على الروم، وينحاز هجرة العرب إلى الروم ومنافقوهم حين يرون نصرة الموالي على الروم، وتهرب قبائل بأسرها، جلها من قضاعة، وناس من الحمراء، حتى يركزوا راياتهم فيهم، ثم يتنادى الرفاق بالتميز، فإذا لحق بهم من لحق نادوا: غلب الصليب، فخير العرب يومئذ اليمانيون المهاجرون، وحمير وألهان وقيس، أولئك خير الناس يومئذ، فقيس يومئذ تقتل ولا تقتل، وجديس مثلها، والأزد يقتلون ويقتلون، ويومئذ يفترق جيش المسلمين أربع فرق، فرقة تستشهد، وفرقة تصبر، وفرقة تغزو، وفرقة تلحق بعدوها، وقال: وتشد الروم على العرب شدة فيقبل خليفتهم القرشي اليماني الصالح في ثلاثة آلاف، فيؤمرون عليهم أميرا، ومعه سبعون أميرا، كلهم صالح صاحب راية، فالمقتول والصابر يومئذ في الأجر سواء، ثم يسلط الله على الروم ريحا وطيرا تضرب وجوههم بأجنحتها فتفقأ أعينهم، وتتصدع بهم الأرض، فيتلجلجوا في مهوى بعد صواعق ورواجف تصيبهم، ويؤيد الله الصابرين، ويوجب لهم الأجر كما أوجب لأصحاب محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم، ويملأ قلوبهم وصدورهم شجاعة وجرأة، فإذا رأت الروم قلة الفرقة الصابرة طمعت وقالت: اركبوا على كل حافر، فطؤهم وأبيدوهم، فيقوم راكب من المسلمين على سرجه فينظر عن يمينه وشماله وبين يديه، فلا يرى طرفا ولا انقطاعا، فيقول: أتاكم الخلق ولا مدد لكم إلا الله، فموتوا وأميتوا، فيبايعون رجلا منهم بيعة خلافة، فيأمرهم فيصلون الصبح، فينظر الله تعالى إليهم، فينزل عليهم النصر، ويقول: لم يبق إلا أنا وملائكتي وعبادي المهاجرون اليوم، ومأدبة الطير والوحش لأطعمنها لحوم الروم وأنصارها، ولأسقينها دماءها، فيفتح ربك خزانة سلاحه التي في السماء الرابعة، وسلاحه العز والجبروت، فينزل عليهم الملائكة، ويقذف المسلمون قسيهم، ويدقوا أغماد سيوفهم ويصلتوها عليهم، ويوجهوا أسنة رماحهم إليهم، ويبسط ربك يده إلى سلاح الكفار فيضمه فلا يقطع، فتغل أيديهم إلى أعناقهم، ويسلط أسلحة الموحدين عليهم، فلو ضرب مؤمن بوتد لقطع، ويهبط جبريل وميكائيل فيدفعونهم بمن معهم من الملائكة، فيهزمهم الله، فيسوقونهم كالغنم حتى ينتهوا بهم إلى ملوكهم، فيخر ملوكهم من الرعب لوجوههم، وتنزع أتوجتهم عن رءوسهم، فيطئونهم بالخيل والأقدام حتى يقتلوهم، حتى يبلغ دماؤهم ثنن الخيل فلا ينشفه الأرض، وكل دم يبلغ ثنن الخيل فهي ملحمة، وهو ذبح، فذلك انقطاع ملك الروم، ويبعث الله تعالى ملائكة إلى ملاء جزائرها يخبرونهم بقتل الروم

يا أبا عامر، إذا نسفت هاتان المزبلتان فأخرج أهلك من حمص، قال: قلت: فإن لم أفعل؟ قال: فإذا دخلت أنطرسوس فقتل فيها ثلاثمائة شهيد فأخرج أهلك من حمص ، قال: قلت: فإن لم أفعل؟ قال: " فإذا جاء الجمل من الأندلس بألف قلع، ثم فرقها بين الأقرع ويافا فأخرج أهلك من حمص، قلت: وما الذي يصيبهم؟ قال: يغلقها أعاجمها على ذراري المسلمين ونسائهم، قال: ثم إنا تحوطنا حتى دخلنا دير مسحل ، فقال: ترى هذا الخشب، هو يومئذ مجانيق المسلمين ، قلت: كم بين رأس الجمل وأنطرسوس؟ قال: لا يحل لها أن تكمل ثلاث سنين ، ثم قال لي: للروم ثلاث خرجات، فهذه الأولى، والأخرى يقبل جيش في البحر بألف قلع فيفرقونها، لكل جند حصتهم، ويتواعدون للخروج في يوم واحد، فإذا كان ذلك اليوم خرج كل قوم إلى من يليهم من المسلمين، ويحرقون سفنهم، ويجعلون قلوعها خياما، ثم يقاتلون ويشتد البلاء والقتال في الشام كلها، لا يستطيع بعضهم يغلب بعضا، ويحبس الله النصر، ويسلط السلاح، ويرق الناس حتى يصير من شأن المسلمين أن يتحصنوا في المدائن، ويخطر كتاب الروم في خلل المدائن، وعند ذلك يغلق أعاجم حمص أبوابها على من فيها من ذراري المسلمين ونسائهم، ويشتد القتال في أرض فلسطين أربعة أيام متوالية وقال أبو الزاهرية: إن شئت أخبرتك أول يوم من الأربعة وآخره، فيفتح الله تعالى للمسلمين في اليوم الرابع، وتهزم الروم، ويتبعهم المسلمون يقتلونهم في كل سهل وجبل، حتى يدخل بقايا الروم القسطنطينية، ولا يلبثوا إلا يسيرا حتى يبعثوا إليكم يسألونكم الصلح. قال كعب: " فتصالحونهم على عشر سنين، وفي ذلك الصلح تقطع المرأة الدرب آمنة، وتغزون أنتم والروم من وراء خلف القسطنطينية إلى عدو لهم فتنصرون عليهم، فإذا انصرفتم ورأيتم القسطنطينية، ورأيتم أنكم قد بلغتم أهاليكم وأهل صلحكم، ثم تغزون أنتم وهم الكوفة فتعركونها عرك الأديم ، ثم تغزون أنتم والروم أيضا بعض أهل المشرق فتنصرون عليهم، فتسبون الذرية والنساء، وتأخذون الأموال، ثم إنكم تنزلون إذا قفلتم منزلا حتى تلوا قسمة غنائمكم، فتقول الروم: أعطونا حظنا من الذراري والنساء، فيقول المسلمون: إن هذا لا يسعنا في ديننا، ولكن خذوا من سائر الأشياء، فتقول الروم: لا نأخذ إلا من كل شيء، فيقول المسلمون: إن هذا شيء لا تصلوا إليه أبدا، فتقول الروم: إنما غلبتم بنا وبصليبنا، فيقول المسلمون: بل نصر الله تعالى دينه، فبينما هم كذلك يتنازعون إذ رفعوا الصليب، فيغضب المسلمون، فيثب إليه رجل فيكسره، فينحاز بعض القوم من بعض، وكان بينهم قتال يسير، فينصرف الروم غضابا حتى يأتوا ملكهم فيقولون: إن العرب غدرت بنا، ومنعونا حقنا، وكسروا صليبنا، وقتلوا فينا، فيغضب ملكهم غضبا شديدا، ويجمع جمعا عظيما من الروم، ويصالح من استطاع من الأمم، فهذا أول الملحمة العظمى، ثم يسيرون فينفر إليهم المسلمون، وخليفتهم يومئذ اليماني "، كان كعب يقول: " هو يماني، وهو من قريش، فيقتتلون في مقدم الأرض، فيكون للروم الشف على المسلمين حتى يخرجوهم من معسكرهم، وكذلك كلما التقوا يكون للروم الشف على المسلمين، وكذلك يبلغ الأخبار حمص، فلا يزالون كذلك حتى يعاين أهل حمص الغبرة والرهج، فعند ذلك ينجفل أهل حمص الذراري والنساء ومن كان فيها من ضعفة الناس هاربين نحو دمشق، فيموت ما بين حمص وثنية العقاب ألوف من الناس، من الحفاء والوغاء، يعني العطش، حتى أن المرأة لتنشد كما ينشد الفرس: ألا من رأى فلانة بنت فلان؟ فيقول رجل: يا عبد الله، لقد رأيتها في مكان كذا وكذا، قد عصبت قدمها بخمارها قد اختضبت دما، ويشتد القتال بين المسلمين والروم، ويحبس النصر، ويسلط السلاح بعضه على بعض، فلا ينبو عن شيء أصابه، ويقتل خليفة المسلمين يومئذ في سبعين أميرا في يوم واحد، ويبايع الناس رجلا من قريش، فلا يبقى صاحب فدان ولا عمود إلا لحق بالروم، وتلحق قبائل بأسرها وراياتها بالروم، ويصبر المسلمون إلى أن تلحق فرقة بالكفر، وتقتل فرقة، وتفر فرقة، وتنصر فرقة، ثم تقول الروم: يا معشر العرب، إنا قد علمنا أنكم قد كرهتم قتالنا، هلموا أسلموا إلينا من كان أصله منا، والحقوا بأرضكم ومواليكم، فتقول العرب للروم: هاهم قد سمعوا ما تقولون، فهم أعلم، فعند ذلك يغضب الموالي، وهي حمية الموالي التي كانت تذكر، فتقول الموالي للعرب: أظننتم أن في أنفسنا من الإسلام شيئا، فيبايعون رجلا منهم، ثم ينحازون فيقاتلون من ناحيتهم، ويقاتل العرب من ناحية، فينزل الله نصره، ويهلك ملك الروم عند ذلك، وينهزم الروم، فيقوم رجال على سروجهم عن متون خيولهم، فينادون بالصوت العوالي : يا معشر المسلمين، إن الله لن يرد هذا الفتح أبدا حتى تكونوا أنتم تنصرفون عنه، ويلحقهم المسلمون ويقتلونهم في كل سهل وجبل، لا يحل لمطمورة أن تمتنع، ولا مدينة، حتى ينزلوا القسطنطينية، ويوافي المسلمون عند ذلك أمة من قوم موسى يشهدون الفتح معهم، يكبر المسلمون من ناحية منها، فينصدع الحائط فيقع، وينهض الناس فيدخلون القسطنطينية، فبينما هم يحرزون أموالها وسبيها إذ تقع نار من السماء من ناحية المدينة، فإذا هي تلتهب، فيخرج المسلمون بما قد أصابوا حتى ينزلوا الفرقدونة، فبينما هم يقتسمون ما أفاء الله عليهم إذ سمعوا أن الدجال قد خرج بين ظهري أهليكم، فينصرفون، فيجدون الخبر باطلا، فيلحقون ببيت المقدس، فتكون معقلهم إلى خروج الدجال
