يا أهل اليمن، هاجروا قبل الظلمتين، أما أحدهما فالحبشة يخرجون حتى يبلغوا مقامي هذا

O people of Yemen, they emigrated before the two darknesses. As for one of them, Abyssinia, they will leave until they reach this place of mine

تخرج الحبشة خرجة ينتهون فيها إلى البيت، ثم يخرج إليهم أهل الشام فيجدونهم قد افترشوا الأرض فيقتلونهم في أودية بني علي، وهي قريبة من المدينة، حتى أن الحبشي يباع بالشملة قال صفوان، وحدثني أبو اليمان، عن كعب قال: يخربون البيت، ويأخذون المقام، فيدركون على ذلك فيقتلهم الله تعالى

The Abyssinians go out in a way in which they end up at the house, then the people of the Sham (Greater Syria) come out to them and find them spread out on the ground, and they kill them in the valleys of Bani Ali, which are close to Medina, so much so that the Abyssinians are sold by the whole lot.

تخرج الحبشة بعد نزول عيسى ابن مريم، فيبعث عيسى طليعة فينهزموا

Abyssinia emerges after the landing of Jesus, son of Mary, and Jesus sends a vanguard and they are defeated

تأتي الحبشة فيخربون البيت خرابا لا يعمر بعده أبدا، وهم الذين يستخرجون كنزه

The Abyssinians come and destroy the house in such a way that it will never be restored, and they are the ones who extract its treasure

ليخربن البيت الحبشي، وليأخذن المقام، فيدركون على ذلك فيقتلهم الله تعالى

They will destroy the Abyssinian house, and they will take the place, and they will catch up with that and Allah Almighty will kill them

فارجع إليه فأقرئه مني السلام وقل له: إن كنز فرعون ليس لك ولا لأصحابك، إنما هو للحبشة، يأتون في سفنهم يريدون الفسطاط، فيسيرون حتى ينزلوا منفا فيظهر الله لهم كنز فرعون فيأخذون منه ما شاءوا، فيقولون: ما نبتغي غنيمة أفضل من هذه، فيرجعون، ويخرج المسلمون في آثارهم حتى يدركوهم، فيهزم الله الحبش فيقتلهم المسلمون ويأسرونهم، حتى يباع الحبشي يومئذ بالكساء

So go back to him and give him my greetings from me and say to him: Pharaoh’s treasure is not yours or your companions’. It belongs to the Abyssinians. They come in their ships seeking Fustat, and they travel until they go into exile. Then Allah appears to them Pharaoh’s treasure and they take whatever they want from it. They say: We do not want better spoils than this. Then they return, and the Muslims go out in their tracks until they overtake them. Then Allah defeats the Abyssinians and the Muslims kill them and take them prisoner, until they are sold. The Abyssinian on that day was clothed

تقتتلون بوسيم أنتم وأهل الأندلس، فيأتيكم مددكم من الشام، فإذا نزل أولهم هزم الله عدوكم، ولا يزالون يقتلونهم إلى لوبية، ثم ترجعون فتأتيكم الحبشة في ثلاثمائة ألف، عليهم أسبس، فتقاتلونهم أنتم وأهل الشام فيهزمهم الله تعالى، ثم ترجعون إلى القبط فتقولون: لم تعينونا على عدونا، فيقولون: أنتم فعلتم هذا بنا، ذهبتم بقوتنا لم تتركوا لنا سلاحا، وإنكم لأحب الناس إلينا، قال: فيصفحون عنهم

You and the people of Andalusia fight with Wasim, and your troops come to you from the Sham (Greater Syria), and when the first of them descends, Allah defeats your enemy, and they continue to kill them as far as Lubiyah. Then you return, and Abyssinia comes to you with three hundred thousand, wearing asps. You and the people of the Sham (Greater Syria) fight them, and Allah Almighty defeats them. Then you return to the Copts and say: Why did you help us against our enemy? They say: You did this to us, you went away with our strength. You have not left us any weapons, and you are the most beloved people to us. He said: So they forgive them

حدثنا نعيم ثنا رشدين، عن ابن لهيعة، عن أبي قبيل، عن عبيد بن فيروز، عن عبد الله بن عمرو، مثل حديث ابن وهب في الحبشة، حديث مسلمة بن مخلد

Nu'aym told us about Rushdin, on the authority of Ibn Lahi'ah, on the authority of Abu Qabil, on the authority of Ubaid ibn Fayrouz, on the authority of Abdullah ibn Amr, like the hadith of Ibn Wahb in Abyssinia, the hadith of Maslama ibn Mukhlid.

حدثنا رشدين، عن ابن لهيعة، عن أبي قبيل، عن عبد الله بن عمرو، أن رجلا، من أعداء المسلمين بالأندلس: حديث ذي العرف، حديث طويل وقد كتبته في الروم قال

Rushdin told us, on the authority of Ibn Lahi’ah, on the authority of Abu Qabil, on the authority of Abdullah ibn Amr, that a man, one of the enemies of the Muslims in Andalusia: The hadith of Dhul-Urf, a long hadith, and I wrote it in the Romans, said:

يقاتلكم أهل الأندلس بوسيم فيأتيكم مددكم من الشام فيهزمهم الله

The people of Andalusia fight you handsomely, then your supplies come from the Sham (Greater Syria), and Allah defeats them

يقاتلونكم بوسيم فيهزمهم الله، ثم تأتي الحبشة في العام الثاني قال

They fight you handsomely, but Allah defeats them, then Abyssinia comes in the second year

تأتي الحبشة في ثلاثمائة ألف، عليهم رجل يقال له أسبس، فتقاتلونهم أنتم وأهل الشام فيهزمهم الله

The Abyssinians will come with three hundred thousand, and over them will be a man called Asbis. You and the people of the Sham (Greater Syria) will fight them, and Allah will defeat them.

هم الذين يستخرجون كنز فرعون بمدينة يقال لها منف، ويخرج إليهم المسلمون فيقاتلونهم ويغنمون تلك الكنوز حتى يباع الحبشي بعباءة قال

They are the ones who extract Pharaoh's treasure in a city called Memphis, and the Muslims go out to them and fight them and take those treasures as spoils until the Ethiopian is sold for a cloak.

الذي يسير بأهل الأندلس ملك من ملوك العجم يقال له ذو العرف، يجلي أهل الأندلس وأهل المغرب من المسلمين، حتى يقاتله أهل مصر، فيهزمه الله، ثم يسلم ذو العرف بعد الهزيمة قال

The one who leads the people of Andalusia is a Persian king called Dhu al-Arf. He evacuates the Muslims from the people of Andalusia and the people of the Maghreb until the people of Egypt fight him, and Allah defeats him. Then Dhu al-Arf surrenders after the defeat.

يوشك بنو قنطورا بن كركرا يخرجون فيسوقون أهل خراسان سوقا عنيفا حتى يربطوا خيولهم بنخل الأبلة، فيبعثون إلى أهل البصرة: إما أن تلحقوا بنا، وإما تخلوها لنا، فيلحق بهم ثلث، وبالأعراب ثلث، وثلث بالشام

The Banu Qantura ibn Karkara are about to set out and drive the people of Khorasan violently, until they tie their horses to the palm trees of al-Abla. They send a message to the people of Basra: Either you join us, or leave it to us. A third will join them, a third will join the Bedouins, and a third will go to Syria.

إذا قتل الله يأجوج ومأجوج، فبينما الناس كذلك إذ جاءهم الصراخ أن ذا السويقتين قد غزا البيت يريده، فيبعث عيسى ابن مريم عليه السلام طليعة سبعمائة، أو بين السبع مائة والثمان مائة، حتى إذا كانوا ببعض الطريق بعث الله ريحا يمانية طيبة فتقبض روح كل مؤمن، ثم يبقى عجاج من الناس، يتسافدون كما يتسافد البهائم، فمثل الساعة مثل رجل يطيف حول فرسه ينتظر حتى تضع، فمن تكلف بعد قولي هذا شيئا أو بعد علمي هذا شيئا فهو المتكلف

If Allah kills Gog and Magog, while the people are like that, when the scream comes to them that the One with the Two Stems has invaded the House, seeking it, then Jesus, son of Mary, (peace be upon him) sends a vanguard of seven hundred, or between the seven hundred and eight hundred, until when they are some way, Allah sends a pleasant Yemeni wind that takes the soul of every believer, and then a crowd of people remains, crowding together like animals flock together, so the likeness of an hour is like a man circling around His mare is waiting until she gives birth, so whoever assumes anything after I say this or after I know this is the one who is arrogant

لا تغزى بعد هذا اليوم إلى يوم القيامة

You will not fight after this day until the Day of Resurrection

لما هدم ابن الزبير الكعبة خرجنا إلى منى ثلاثا ننتظر العذاب

When Ibn al-Zubayr demolished the Kaaba, we went out to Mina three times to await the torment
