اعدد يا عوف ستا بين يدي الساعة، أولهن موتي فاستبكيت حتى جعل رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يسكتني، ثم قال: " قل: إحدى، والثانية فتح بيت المقدس، قل: اثنتين، والثالثة موتان يكون في أمتي كقعاص الغنم، قل: ثلاثا، والرابعة فتنة تكون في أمتي، قال: وعظمها، قل: أربعا، والخامسة يفيض المال فيكم حتى يعطى الرجل المائة الدينار فيتسخطها، قل: خمسا، والسادسة هدنة تكون بينكم وبين بني الأصفر ثم يسيرون إليكم فيقاتلونكم والمسلمون يومئذ في أرض يقال لها الغوطة في مدينة يقال لها دمشق

Count, O Auf, six before the Hour. The first of them is my death, so I cried until the Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him) made me silence him. Then he said: “Say: One, and the second is the conquest of Jerusalem, say: two, and the third is two deaths that will occur in my nation like the shearing of sheep, say: three, and the fourth is a trial that will occur in my nation. He said: and its greatness, say: four, and the fifth: money will overflow among you until a man is given a hundred dinars and he angers her. Say: Five, and the sixth is a truce between you and the Banu Asfar. Then they will march to you and fight you and the Muslims on that day in a land called Al-Ghouta, in a city called Damascus.

ست بين يدي الساعة، أولهن موت نبيكم، قل: إحدى، والثانية فتح بيت المقدس، والثالثة موت يقع فيكم كقعاص الغنم، والرابعة فتنة بينكم لا يبقى بيت من العرب إلا دخلته، والخامسة هدنة بينكم وبين بني الأصفر، فيجتمعون لكم عدد حمل المرأة تسعة أشهر

There are six before the Hour, the first of which is the death of your Prophet, say: one, the second is the conquest of Jerusalem, the third is death that will fall upon you like the shedding of sheep, the fourth is a trial among you, no Arab house will remain without entering it, and the fifth is a truce between you and the Banu Asfar, so they will gather for you the number of a woman’s pregnancy of nine months.

ست قبل الساعة، أولهن وفاة نبيكم، وفتح بيت المقدس، وموت كقعاص الغنم، وهدنة تكون بينكم وبين بني الأصفر، وافتتاح مدينة الكفر، ورد الرجل مائة دينار سخطة

Six before the Hour, the first of which is the death of your Prophet, the conquest of Jerusalem, death like a sheep’s sheath, a truce between you and the Banu Asfar, the opening of the city of disbelief, and the man returned a hundred dinars out of anger.

ست بين يدي الساعة، أولهن وفاتي، ثم فتح بيت المقدس، ثم منزل تنزله أمتي من الشام، ثم فتنة تقع فيكم لا يبقى بيت عربي إلا دخلته، ثم تصالحكم الروم

There are six times before the Hour, the first of which is my death, then the conquest of Jerusalem, then a place that my nation will descend from the Sham (Greater Syria), then a trial will fall upon you. No Arab house will remain without entering it, then the Romans will make peace with you.

دخلنا أرض الروم في غزوة الطوانة، فنزلنا مرجا، فأخذت أنا برءوس دواب أصحابي، فطولت لها، فانطلق أصحابي يتعلفون، فبينا أنا كذلك إذ سمعت: السلام عليك ورحمة الله، فالتفت فإذا أنا برجل عليه ثياب بياض، فقلت: السلام عليك ورحمة الله، فقال: أمن أمة أحمد؟ قلت: نعم ، قال: فاصبروا، فإن هذه الأمة أمة مرحومة، كتب الله عليها خمس فتن وخمس صلوات، قال: قلت: سمهن لي، قال: أمسك، إحداهن موت نبيهم واسمها في كتاب الله تعالى بغتة، ثم قتل عثمان، واسمها في كتاب الله الصماء، ثم فتنة ابن الزبير، واسمها في كتاب الله العمياء، ثم فتنة ابن الأشعث، واسمها في كتاب الله البتيراء، ثم تولى وهو يقول: وبقيت الصيلم، وبقيت الصيلم، فلم أدر كيف ذهب

We entered the land of the Romans during the Battle of Al-Tuwanah, and we camped at Marja, so I took hold of the heads of my companions’ animals, so I reached for them, and my companions went off to feed, while I was like that when I heard: May the peace and mercy of Allah be upon you. So I turned around and saw a man wearing white clothes, so I said: May the peace and mercy of Allah be upon you. He said: Who is the nation of Ahmad? I said: Yes. He said: So be patient, for this nation is a compassionate nation. Allah has decreed five trials and five prayers over it. He said: I said: Name them for me. He said: Hold on. One of them is the sudden death of their Prophet, whose name is in the Book of Allah Almighty. Then Uthman was killed, and its name is in the Book of Allah. The Deaf, then the trial of Ibn al-Zubayr, and its name in the Book of Allah is Blind, then the trial of Ibn al-Ash’ath, and its name in the Book of Allah is Petra. Then he turned away and said: I stayed in the fast, and I stayed in the fast, but I did not know how it went

جعل الله في هذه الأمة خمس فتن، فتنة عامة، ثم فتنة خاصة، ثم فتنة عامة، ثم فتنة خاصة، ثم الفتنة السوداء المظلمة التي يصير فيها الناس كالبهائم، ثم هدنة، ثم دعاة إلى الضلالة، فإن بقي لله يومئذ خليفة فالزمه

Allah has created five trials in this nation: a general trial, then a specific trial, then a general trial, then a specific trial, then a dark, black trial in which people will become like animals, then a truce, then callers to misguidance. If there remains a caliph for Allah on that day, adhere to him.

جعلت في هذه الأمة خمس فتن ، فذكر نحوه، إلا أنه قال: العمياء، الصماء، المطبقة

Five temptations have been created in this nation: the blind, the deaf, and the profound

تكون فتنة، ثم تكون جماعة ثم فتنة وتوبة، ثم جماعة وتوبة، حتى ذكر الرابعة، ثم لا تكون توبة ولا جماعة

There will be a trial, then there will be a group, then there will be a trial and repentance, then a group and repentance, until he mentioned the fourth, then there will be neither repentance nor a group.

في الإسلام أربع فتن، تسلمهم الرابعة إلى الدجال: الرقطاء، والمظلمة، وهنة وهنة

الفتنة الأولى، كانت خمسا، والثانية كانت عشر سنين فتنة ابن الزبير، ثم تكون الثالثة عشرين سنة، يعم شرها مشرقها ومغربها، ولا ينجو منها إلا أهل أنطابلس

The first strife was five years, the second was ten years, the strife of Ibn al-Zubayr, then the third would be twenty years, its evil spreading from the east and the west, and only the people of Antapolis would be saved from it.

الفتن بعد رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم إلى أن تقوم الساعة أربع، فالأولى خمس، والثانية عشر، والثالثة عشرون، والرابعة الدجال

There are four temptations after the Messenger of Allah ﷺ until the Hour comes, the first five, the twelfth, the twenty-third, and the fourth is the Dajjal.

تكون فتنة تشمل الناس كلهم، لا يسلم منها إلا الجند الغربي

It will be a temptation that includes all people, from which only the Western soldiers will be safe

تكون أربع فتن، الأولى يستحل فيها الدم، والثانية يستحل الدم والمال، والثالثة يستحل فيها الدم والمال والفرج، والرابعة الدجال

There will be four tribulations: the first is in which blood is permissible, the second is permissible in blood and money, the third is in which blood, money and private parts are permissible, and the fourth is the Dajjal.

أحذركم سبع فتن تكون بعدي، فتنة تقبل من المدينة، وفتنة بمكة، وفتنة تقبل من اليمن، وفتنة تقبل من الشام، وفتنة تقبل من المشرق، وفتنة من قبل المغرب، وفتنة من بطن الشام وهي فتنة السفياني قال: فقال ابن مسعود: منكم من يدرك أولها، ومن هذه الأمة من يدرك آخرها، قال الوليد بن عياش: فكانت فتنة المدينة من قبل طلحة والزبير، وفتنة مكة فتنة ابن الزبير، وفتنة اليمن من قبل نجدة، وفتنة الشام من قبل بني أمية، وفتنة المشرق من قبل هؤلاء

I warn you of seven trials that will occur after me: a trial that will come from Medina, a trial in Mecca, a trial that will come from Yemen, a trial that will come from the Sham (Greater Syria), a trial that will come from the East, a trial from the West, and a trial from the heart of the Sham (Greater Syria), which is the trial of Al-Sufyani. He said: Ibn Masoud said: Some of you will realize the beginning of it, and of this nation there will be some who will realize the last of it. Al-Walid bin Ayyash said: So the trial of Medina was from Talha and Al-Zubayr, and the trial of Mecca was a trial. Ibn al-Zubayr, the strife of Yemen by Najda, the strife of the Sham (Greater Syria) by the Umayyads, and the strife of the East by these people.

أربع فتن تكون بعدي، الأولى تسفك فيها الدماء، والثانية يستحل فيها الدماء، والأموال، والثالثة يستحل فيها الدماء، والأموال، والفروج، والرابعة عمياء صماء، تعرك فيها أمتي عرك الأديم

There will be four trials after me: the first in which blood will be shed, the second in which blood and wealth will be made permissible, the third in which blood, wealth and private parts will be made permissible, and the fourth will be blind and deaf, in which my nation will fight like a human being.

تأتيكم بعدي أربع فتن، الأولى يستحل فيها الدماء، والثانية يستحل فيها الدماء، والأموال، والثالثة يستحل فيها الدماء، والأموال، والفروج، والرابعة صماء عمياء مطبقة، تمور مور الموج في البحر، حتى لا يجد أحد من الناس منها ملجأ، تطيف بالشام، وتغشى العراق، وتخبط الجزيرة بيدها ورجلها، وتعرك الأمة فيها بالبلاء عرك الأديم، ثم لا يستطيع أحد من الناس يقول فيها: مه مه، ثم لا يعرفونها من ناحية إلا انفتقت من ناحية أخرى

After me, four trials will come to you: the first in which blood will be made lawful, the second in which blood and wealth will be made lawful, the third in which blood, wealth, and chickens will be lawful, and the fourth will be deaf, blind, and convulsive, rolling like the waves of the sea, so that none of the people will find refuge from it. It will circle around the Sham (Greater Syria), cover Iraq, trample the island with hand and foot, and the nation will be afflicted with affliction like the surface of the earth. One side but herniated on the other side

أربع فتن تأتي الفتنة الأولى فيستحل فيها الدماء، والثانية يستحل فيها الدماء، والأموال، والثالثة يستحل فيها الدماء، والأموال، والفروج، والرابعة عمياء مظلمة، تمور مور البحر، تنتشر حتى لا يبقى بيت من العرب إلا دخلته

Four tribulations come: the first tribulation in which blood is made permissible, the second in which blood and wealth are made permissible, the third in which blood, wealth and private parts are made permissible, and the fourth is blind and dark, dates like the sea, spreading until not an Arab house remains without entering it.

تكون في أمتي أربع فتن تصيب أمتي في آخرها فتن مترادفة، فالأولى تصيبهم فيها بلاء حتى يقول المؤمن: هذه مهلكتي، ثم تنكشف، والثانية حتى يقول المؤمن: هذه مهلكتي، ثم تنكشف، والثالثة كلما قيل: انقضت، تمادت، والفتنة الرابعة تصيرون فيها إلى الكفر، إذا كانت الأمة مع هذا مرة، ومع هذا مرة، بلا إمام، ولا جماعة، ثم المسيح، ثم طلوع الشمس من مغربها، ودون الساعة اثنان وسبعون دجالا، منهم من لا يتبعه إلا رجل واحد

There will be four tribulations in my nation, the last of which will be afflicted with synonymous tribulations. The first is a calamity that afflicts them until the believer says: This is my destruction, then it will be revealed. The second is until the believer says: This is my destruction, then it will be revealed. The third is whenever it is said: It has passed, it will continue. And the fourth temptation in which you will turn to disbelief, if the nation was with this once, and with this once, without an imam, or a group, then Christ, then the rising of the sun from the west, and without... There are seventy-two charlatans, including one whom only one man follows

الفتن ثلاث، تسوقهم الرابعة إلى الدجال التي ترمي بالرضف، والتي ترمي بالنشف، والسوداء المظلمة، والتي تموج موج البحر

There are three temptations, the fourth will lead them to the Dajjal, which throws the kneecaps, which throws the hair, and the dark black stone, which ripples the waves of the sea.

فتنة الأحلاس فيها حرب وهرب، وفتنة السراء يخرج دخنها من تحت قدمي رجل يزعم أنه مني وليس مني، إنما أوليائي المتقون، ثم يصطلح الناس على رجل، ثم يكون فتنة الدهم، كلما قيل: انقطعت تمادت، حتى لا يبقى بيت من العرب إلا دخلته، يقاتل فيها لا يدري على حق يقاتل أم على باطل، فلا يزالون كذلك حتى يصيروا إلى فسطاطين: فسطاط إيمان لا نفاق فيه، وفسطاط نفاق لا إيمان فيه، فإذا هما اجتمعا فأبصر الدجال اليوم أو غدا

The trial of good times includes war and flight, and the trial of good times comes out from under the feet of a man who claims to be from me and is not of me. Rather, my friends are the pious. Then the people will reconcile with a man, and then there will be the trial of dawn. Whenever it is said: It will end, it will continue until not a house of Arabs remains without entering it. They fight in it, not knowing whether they are right or wrong. They continue like this until they become two camps: a camp of faith with no hypocrisy, and a camp of hypocrisy with no faith. In it, when they meet, he will see the Dajjal today or tomorrow

الفتن أربع: فتنة السراء، وفتنة الضراء، وفتنة كذا، فذكر معدن الذهب، ثم يخرج رجل من عترة النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يصلح الله على يديه أمرهم

There are four temptations: the temptation of good times, the temptation of adversity, and the temptation of such-and-such, so he mentioned the metal of gold, then a man from the family of the Prophet ﷺ emerges and Allah will set their affairs right at his hands.

ستكون بعدي فتن، منها فتنة الأحلاس، يكون فيها حرب وهرب، ثم بعدها فتن أشد منها، ثم تكون فتنة، كلما قيل: انقطعت، تمادت، حتى لا يبقى بيت إلا دخلته، ولا مسلم إلا صكته، حتى يخرج رجل من عترتي

There will be tribulations after me, including the tribulation of Ahlas, in which there will be war and flight, then after that tribulations worse than that, and then there will be tribulations that, whenever it is said: it will end, will continue, until there will remain no house without entering it, and no Muslim without keeping its silence, until a man from my family emerges.

الفتن أربع، فالأولى بصيرة، والثانية فتنة هواء، والثالثة فتنة عمياء، والرابعة الدجال
