إذا سمعتم بناس يأتون من قبل المشرق أولو دهاء، يعجب الناس من زيهم فقد أظلتكم الساعة

If you hear of people coming from the East who are clever, and the people admire their appearance, then the Hour has overshadowed you

لا يكبرن عليك، فوالذي نفسي بيده لو كانت الدنيا يوما واحدا لطول الله ذلك اليوم حتى تكون الخلافة لبني هاشم

Do not be arrogant towards you, for by the One in whose hand is my soul, if the world were one day, Allah would lengthen that day until the caliphate would be for Banu Hashim.

بعد هلاك بني أمية يجيء جالب الوحوش يجتمع إليه أهل الأرض من زواياها الأربع، فيعذب الله بهم هذه الأمة

After the destruction of the Umayyads, the bringer of beasts will come, and the people of the earth will gather to him from its four corners, and Allah will punish this nation with them

فارس رأيتهم بهذه المدينة جلوسا حلقا حلقا يتحدثون، يقولون: سيظهر على أهل هذه الأرض المسلمون فيفتح الله لهم خزائن برها وبحرها، يعرفون بنعتهم بطول شعرهم ورماحهم، ولبوسهم الأزر، يكون آخر ملك منهم، يقتلون بالعصب، يصب على موائدهم الأموال والأطعمة الكثيرة فلا يشبعهم ذلك

Persia, I saw them in this city, sitting, huddled in circles, talking, saying: Muslims will appear on the people of this land, and Allah will open for them the treasures of its land and sea. They will be known by their quality by the length of their hair, their spears, and their clothing of silk. He will be the last king among them. They will be killed with swords. Money and abundant food will be poured on their tables, but that will not satisfy them.

يخرج رجل من أهل المشرق يدعو إلى آل محمد، وهو أبعد الناس منهم، ينصب علامات سودا، أولها نصر، وآخرها كفر، يتبعه خشارة العرب، وسفلة الموالي، والعبيد الأباق، ومراق الآفاق، سيماهم السواد، ودينهم الشرك، وأكثرهم الجدع ، قلت: وما الجدع؟ قال: القلف ، ثم قال حذيفة لابن عمر: ولست مدركه يا أبا عبد الرحمن؟ فقال عبد الله: ولكن أحدث به من بعدي، قال: فتنة تدعى الحالقة، تحلق الدين، يهلك فيها صريح العرب، وصالح الموالي، وأصحاب الكنوز، والفقهاء، وتنجلي عن أقل من القليل

A man from the people of the East comes out calling for the family of Muhammad, and he is the farthest of people from them. He sets up black signs, the first of which is victory, and the last of which is disbelief. He is followed by the vulgarity of the Arabs, the lowliest of the loyalists, the ungrateful slaves, and the starving horizons. Their faces are black, and their religion is polytheism, and most of them are uncircumcised, and do you not realize it, O Abu Abd al-Rahman? A temptation called Al-Halaqa, which destroys religion, in which the honest Arabs, the righteous loyalists, the owners of treasures, and the jurists will perish, and less than a few will be revealed.

لا يزال بنو أمية على ثبج من أمرهم حتى تخرج الرايات السود من المشرق فتبيحهم

The Banu Umayyad will continue to remain steadfast in their affairs until the black banners emerge from the East and make them permissible

ليوشكن العراق يعرك عرك الأديم، ويشق الشام شق الشعر، وتفت مصر فت البعرة، فعندها ينزل الأمر

Iraq will soon be in a state of war, the Sham (Greater Syria) will be torn to pieces, and Egypt will be scattered and the wasteland will be destroyed, then the matter will come down.

هلاكهم إذا اختلفوا بينهم، فأول علامة تكون من انقطاع ملكهم اختلاف بينهم حدثنا محمد بن عبد الله، عن عبد السلام بن مسلمة، عن أبي قبيل، قال: لا يزال الناس بخير في رخاء ما لم ينقض ملك بني العباس، فإذا انتقض ملكهم لم يزالوا في فتن حتى يقوم المهدي

They will be destroyed if they disagree among themselves. The first sign of the cessation of their rule is a disagreement between them. The people will continue to be well in prosperity as long as the rule of the Abbasids is not ended. If their rule is ended, they will continue to be in turmoil until the Mahdi arises.

لا تزال أصحاب الرايات السود شديدة رقابهم، بعدما يظهروا حتى يختلفوا فيما بينهم

لا يزال أمرهم ظاهرا حتى يبايع لغلامين منهم، فإذا أدركا اختلفوا فيما بينهم، فيطول اختلافهم، حتى ترفع بالشام ثلاث رايات، فإذا رفعت كانت سبب انقطاع ملكهم

Their matter remains clear until the pledge of allegiance is given to two of their boys, and when they reach that point, they disagree among themselves, and their disagreement is prolonged, until three banners are raised in the Sham (Greater Syria), and when they are raised, it is the reason for the cessation of their rule.

سيليكم أئمة شر أئمة، فإذا افترقوا على ثلاث رايات فاعلموا أنه هلاكهم

لا تزال أصحاب الرايات السود شديدة رقابهم حتى يختلفوا فيما بينهم، يخالف بعضهم بعضا، فيفترقون ثلاث فرق، فرقة يدعون لبني فاطمة، وفرقة تدعو لبني العباس، وفرقة تدعو لأنفسهم ، قلت: ومن أنفسهم؟ قال: لا أدري، هكذا سمعت

إذا اختلف آل العباس فيما بينهم فهو أول انتقاض أمرهم

السابع من بني العباس يدعو الناس إلى الكفر فلا يجيبونه، فيقول له أهل بيته: تريد أن تخرجنا من معايشنا؟ فيقول: إني أسير فيكم بسيرة أبي بكر وعمر رضي الله عنهما، فيأبون عليه، فيقتله عدو له من أهل بيته من بني هاشم، فإذا وثب عليه اختلفوا فيما بينهم فذكر اختلافا طويلا إلى خروج السفياني

So he says: I am following among you the path of Abu Bakr and Omar (may Allah be pleased with him), but they refuse him, and then an enemy of his from his family from Banu Hashim kills him. If he attacks him, they disagree among themselves, and he mentioned a long disagreement until the emergence of Al-Sufyani.

إذا اختلف أصحاب الرايات السود بينهم كان خسف قرية بإرم، يقال لها حرستا، وخروج الرايات الثلاث بالشام عندها

The Banu Abbas reign until the people despair of goodness, then their affairs become diversified. If you find nothing but a scorpion’s hole, enter it, for there will be a long-lasting evil among the people, then their rule will disappear and the Mahdi will arise.

إذا مات الخامس من أهل بيتي فالهرج الهرج، يموت السابع، ثم كذلك حتى يقوم المهدي قال: وبلغني عن شريك أنه قال: هو ابن العفر، يعني هارون وكان الخامس، ونحن نقول هو السابع، والله أعلم
