حديث النواس بن سمعان الكلابي في معناه وأبسط منه
الحرب أوزارها، وتسلب قريش فلكها وتكون الأرض كعاثور1 الفضة ينبت نباتها كعهد آدم حتى يجتمع النفر على القطف 2 من العنب فليشبعهم ويجتمع النفر على الرمانة فتشبعهم، ويكون الثور بكذا وكذا من المال، ويكون الفرس بالدريهمات" قيل يا رسول الله: وما يرخص الفرس؟ قال: "لا يركب لحرب أبدا" قيل له: فما يغلي الثور؟ قال: "لحرث الأرض كلها: وإن قبل خروج الدجال ثلاث سنوات شداد يصيب الناس فيها جوع شديد يأمر الله السماء أن تحبس ثلث مطرها، ويأمر الأرض أن تحبس ثلث نباتها، ثم يأمر السماء في السنة الثانية فتحبس ثلثي مطرها ويأمر الأرض فتحبس ثلث نباتها، ثم يأمر السماء في السنة الثالثة فتحبس مطرها كله فلا تقطر قطرة، ويأمر الأرض فتحبس نداتها كلها فلا تنبت خضراء، فلا تبقى ذات ظلف إلا هلكت إلا ما شاء الله، فقيل: ما يعيش الناس في ذلك الزمان؟ قال: التهليل والتكبير والتسبيح والتحميد ويجرى ذلك عليهم مجرى 3 الطعام 4".
"...যুদ্ধ তার সকল ভার নামিয়ে রাখবে, কুরাইশদের থেকে তাদের আধিপত্য ছিনিয়ে নেওয়া হবে এবং জমিন রুপার থালার মতো নির্মল ও শস্যশ্যামল হয়ে যাবে। তা আদম (আ.)-এর যুগের মতো উদ্ভিদ উৎপন্ন করবে, এমনকি একদল লোক একটিমাত্র আঙুরের থোকা খাওয়ার জন্য সমবেত হবে এবং তা তাদের সবাইকে তৃপ্ত করবে, আর একদল লোক একটি ডালিম খেতে বসবে এবং তা তাদের সবাইকে তৃপ্ত করবে। একটি ষাঁড় এত এত বিপুল মূল্যে বিক্রি হবে, আর ঘোড়া মাত্র কয়েকটি দিরহামের বিনিময়ে পাওয়া যাবে।" জিজ্ঞাসা করা হলো: "হে আল্লাহর রাসুল, ঘোড়ার দাম এতটা সস্তা কেন হবে?" তিনি বললেন: "যুদ্ধের জন্য এটি আর কখনো আরোহণ করা হবে না।" আবার জিজ্ঞাসা করা হলো: "ষাঁড়ের দাম এত বেশি কেন হবে?" তিনি বললেন: "সমগ্র জমিন চাষাবাদের প্রয়োজনের কারণে। আর নিশ্চয়ই দাজ্জালের আত্মপ্রকাশের পূর্বে তিনটি অত্যন্ত সংকটময় বছর থাকবে, যে সময়ে মানুষ চরম দুর্ভিক্ষের শিকার হবে। প্রথম বছর আল্লাহ আসমানকে তার এক-তৃতীয়াংশ বৃষ্টি আটকে রাখার নির্দেশ দেবেন এবং জমিনকে তার এক-তৃতীয়াংশ ফসল আটকে রাখার নির্দেশ দেবেন। অতঃপর দ্বিতীয় বছর তিনি আসমানকে নির্দেশ দেবেন, ফলে তা তার দুই-তৃতীয়াংশ বৃষ্টি আটকে রাখবে এবং জমিনকে নির্দেশ দেবেন, ফলে তা তার ফসলের দুই-তৃতীয়াংশ আটকে রাখবে। এরপর তৃতীয় বছর তিনি আসমানকে নির্দেশ দেবেন, ফলে তা তার সম্পূর্ণ বৃষ্টি আটকে রাখবে এবং এক ফোঁটা বৃষ্টিও বর্ষণ করবে না, আর জমিনকে নির্দেশ দেবেন, ফলে তা তার সমস্ত আর্দ্রতা ও উদ্ভিদ আটকে রাখবে এবং কোনো সবুজ ঘাস বা শস্য উৎপন্ন করবে না। ফলে খুরবিশিষ্ট কোনো চতুষ্পদ প্রাণী ধ্বংস হওয়া ছাড়া অবশিষ্ট থাকবে না, তবে আল্লাহ যা ইচ্ছা করবেন তা ব্যতীত।" বলা হলো: "সেই যুগে মানুষ কিসের ওপর বেঁচে থাকবে?" তিনি বললেন: "তাহলীল (লা ইলাহা ইল্লাল্লাহ), তাকবীর (আল্লাহু আকবার), তাসবীহ (সুবহানাল্লাহ) ও তাহমীদ (আলহামদুলিল্লাহ); এবং এগুলো তাদের জন্য খাদ্যের স্থলাভিষিক্ত হয়ে কাজ করবে।"
"...war will lay down its burdens, and Quraysh will be stripped of its authority. The earth will become like a platter of silver, bringing forth its vegetation just as it did during the era of Adam, to the extent that a group of people will gather around a single cluster of grapes and it will satisfy them, and a group will gather around a single pomegranate and it will satisfy them. An ox will sell for such and such a high amount of money, while a horse will be bought for a few dirhams." It was said: "O Messenger of Allah, what will make the horse so cheap?" He replied: "It will never be ridden for war again." It was asked: "And what will make the ox so expensive?" He replied: "Because the entire earth will be tilled. Furthermore, before the emergence of the Dajjal, there will be three severe years in which people will be afflicted with severe hunger. In the first year, Allah will command the sky to withhold one-third of its rain, and will command the earth to withhold one-third of its produce. Then in the second year, He will command the sky and it will withhold two-thirds of its rain, and command the earth and it will withhold two-thirds of its produce. Then in the third year, He will command the sky and it will withhold all of its rain so that not a single drop will fall, and command the earth and it will withhold all its vegetation so that no green plant will sprout, and no cloven-hoofed animal will remain except that it perishes, save what Allah wills." It was asked: "What will sustain the people in that time?" He replied: "The tahlil (proclaiming 'La ilaha illa Allah'), takbir ('Allahu Akbar'), tasbih ('Subhan Allah'), and tahmid ('Alhamdulillah'); and that will sustain them just as food does."
