The Mercy of Allah is Near to Whosoever Sincerely Seeks Refuge in Him from the Heat and Extreme Cold (Zamharir) of Hellfire
رحمة الله قريب ممن يستجير به مخلصا من حر النار وزمهريرها
وروى البيهقي: عن أبي سعيد، عن أبي حجيرة، والأكثر عن أبي هريرة، أن أحدهما حدثه: عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال:
আল-বায়হাকী আবু সাঈদ থেকে, তিনি আবু হুজাইরাহ থেকে এবং অধিকাংশ বর্ণনাসূত্রে আবু হুরায়রা থেকে বর্ণিত, তাঁদের একজন রাসুলুল্লাহ (ﷺ) থেকে বর্ণনা করেছেন যে তিনি বলেছেন:
Al-Bayhaqi narrated from Abu Sa'id, from Abu Hujayrah, though most narrations state from Abu Hurayrah, that one of them narrated to him from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), who said:
"إذا كان يوم حار، ألقى الله سمعه وبصره إلى أهل السماء، وأهل الأرض، فإذا قال العبد: لا إله إلا الله، ما أشد حر هذا اليوم? اللهم أجرني من حر نار جهنم. قال الله لجهنم: إن عبدا من عبادي قد استجار بي منك، وإني أشهدك أني قد أجرته، وإذا كان يوم شديد البرد، ألقى الله سمعه وبصره إلى أهل السماء، وأهل الأرض، فإذا قال العبد: لا إله إلا الله، ما أشد برد هذا اليوم? اللهم أجرني من برد زمهرير جهنم، قال الله لجهنم: إن عبدا من عبادي قد استجار بي من زمهريرك، وإني أشهدك أني قد أجرته". قالوا: وما زمهرير جهنم? قال: "حيث يلقي الله الكافر، فيتميز من شدة بردها بعضه من بعض".
"যখন কোনো দিন প্রচণ্ড গরম পড়ে, তখন আল্লাহ আসমানবাসী ও জমিনবাসীর প্রতি তাঁর শ্রবণ ও দৃষ্টি নিবদ্ধ করেন। অতঃপর কোনো বান্দা যখন বলে: 'লা ইলাহা ইল্লাল্লাহ (আল্লাহ ব্যতীত কোনো সত্য উপাস্য নেই), আজকের দিনের উত্তাপ কতই না তীব্র! হে আল্লাহ, আমাকে জাহান্নামের আগুনের উত্তাপ থেকে রক্ষা করুন।' তখন আল্লাহ জাহান্নামকে বলেন: 'নিশ্চয় আমার বান্দাদের মধ্য থেকে এক বান্দা তোমার থেকে আমার নিকট আশ্রয় প্রার্থনা করেছে, আর আমি তোমাকে সাক্ষী রাখছি যে আমি তাকে আশ্রয় দান করেছি।' আর যখন প্রচণ্ড শীতের দিন আসে, তখন আল্লাহ আসমানবাসী ও জমিনবাসীর প্রতি তাঁর শ্রবণ ও দৃষ্টি নিবদ্ধ করেন। অতঃপর কোনো বান্দা যখন বলে: 'লা ইলাহা ইল্লাল্লাহ, আজকের দিনের শৈত্যপ্রবাহ কতই না তীব্র! হে আল্লাহ, জাহান্নামের বরফশীতল শাস্তি (যামহারির) থেকে আমাকে রক্ষা করুন।' তখন আল্লাহ জাহান্নামকে বলেন: 'নিশ্চয় আমার বান্দাদের মধ্য থেকে এক বান্দা তোমার যামহারির থেকে আমার নিকট আশ্রয় প্রার্থনা করেছে, আর আমি তোমাকে সাক্ষী রাখছি যে আমি তাকে আশ্রয় দান করেছি।'" সাহাবীগণ জিজ্ঞেস করলেন: "জাহান্নামের যামহারির কী?" তিনি বললেন: "এমন এক স্থান যেখানে আল্লাহ কাফিরকে নিক্ষেপ করবেন, ফলে এর প্রচণ্ড ঠান্ডার তীব্রতায় তার দেহের এক অংশ অপর অংশ থেকে বিচ্ছিন্ন হয়ে ছিন্নভিন্ন হয়ে যাবে।"
"When an intensely hot day arrives, Allah directs His hearing and His sight toward the inhabitants of the heaven and the inhabitants of the earth. When a servant says: 'There is no god worthy of worship except Allah, how severe is the heat of this day! O Allah, protect me from the heat of the fire of Hell,' Allah says to Hell: 'Indeed, a servant from among My servants has sought refuge in Me from you, and I call you to witness that I have granted him refuge.' And when an intensely cold day arrives, Allah directs His hearing and His sight toward the inhabitants of the heaven and the inhabitants of the earth. When a servant says: 'There is no god worthy of worship except Allah, how severe is the cold of this day! O Allah, protect me from the cold of the Zamharir (freezing torment) of Hell,' Allah says to Hell: 'Indeed, a servant from among My servants has sought refuge in Me from your Zamharir, and I call you to witness that I have granted him refuge.'" They asked: "And what is the Zamharir of Hell?" He replied: "A pit into which Allah casts the disbeliever, and his flesh and limbs tear apart from one another due to the severity of its cold."
