The Return of Islam as a Stranger Just as It Began
It is established in the Sahih from the hadith of al-A'mash, from Abu Ishaq, from Abu al-Ahwas, from 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
"Indeed, Islam began as something strange, and it will return to being strange just as it began; so glad tidings to the strangers." It was said: "And who are the strangers?" He replied: "Those who have departed from their tribes."
Ibn Majah also narrated it on the authority of Anas and Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with them).
