Mention of the River of al-Baydakh in Paradise
ذكر نهر البيدخ في الجنة
قال أحمد: حدثنا بهز، حدثنا سليمان بن المغيرة، عن ثابت، عن أنس، قال: كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: تعجبه الرؤيا الحسنة فربما قال:
ইমাম আহমদ বলেন: বাহয আমাদের নিকট বর্ণনা করেছেন, সুলাইমান ইবনুল মুগিরাহ আমাদের নিকট বর্ণনা করেছেন, ছাবিত থেকে, তিনি আনাস (রাদিয়াল্লাহু আনহু) থেকে বর্ণনা করেন, তিনি বলেন: রাসূলুল্লাহ (ﷺ) উত্তম স্বপ্ন পছন্দ করতেন এবং তিনি মাঝে মাঝে বলতেন:
Ahmad said: Bahz narrated to us, Sulayman ibn al-Mughirah narrated to us, from Thabit, from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to be pleased with good dreams, and he would sometimes say:
"هل رأى أحد منكم رؤيا?" قال: فإذا رأى الرجل رؤيا، يسأل عنه، فإذا كان ليس به بأس، أعجب برؤياه إليه، قال: فجاءت امرأة فقالت: يا رسول الله: رأيت كأني دخلت الجنة، فسمعت وجبة انتحب لها أهل الجنة، فنظرت، فإذا قد جيء بفلان ابن فلان، وفلان ابن فلان، حتى عددت اثني عشر رجلا، وقد بعثت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم سرية قبل ذلك، قال: فجيء بهم، عليهم ثياب طلس تشخب أوداجهم فقيل: اذهبوا بهم إلى البيدخ قال: نهر البيدخ- قال: فغمسوا فيه، فخرجوا وجوههم
"তোমাদের কেউ কি কোনো স্বপ্ন দেখেছ?" তিনি বলেন: যখন কোনো ব্যক্তি স্বপ্ন দেখত, তখন তিনি তার সম্পর্কে খোঁজ নিতেন; যদি সে নিষ্কলুষ হতো, তবে তার স্বপ্ন তাঁর নিকট অত্যন্ত পছন্দনীয় হতো। তিনি বলেন: অতঃপর এক মহিলা এসে বলল: "হে আল্লাহর রাসূল! আমি যেন দেখলাম যে আমি জান্নাতে প্রবেশ করেছি, তখন আমি এক প্রচণ্ড শব্দ শুনলাম যার কারণে জান্নাতবাসী উচ্চৈঃস্বরে কেঁদে উঠল। অতঃপর আমি তাকালাম, অমনি অমুকের পুত্র অমুক এবং অমুকের পুত্র অমুককে নিয়ে আসা হলো, এমনকি আমি বারোজন লোককে গণনা করলাম।" অথচ এর পূর্বেই রাসূলুল্লাহ (ﷺ) একটি যুদ্ধাভিযানকারী সেনাদল (সারিয়্যাহ) প্রেরণ করেছিলেন। সে বলল: "তাদেরকে নিয়ে আসা হলো, তাদের পরনে ছিল ধূসর মলিন কাপড় এবং তাদের রগগুলো থেকে রক্ত ঝরছিল। তখন বলা হলো: 'তাদেরকে বাইদাখে নিয়ে যাও' - তিনি বলেন: বাইদাখ নদী - অতঃপর তাদেরকে তাতে ডুবানো হলো, ফলে তারা বের হয়ে আসলেন এমন অবস্থায় যে তাদের মুখমণ্ডল
"Did any of you see a dream?" He said: So when a man saw a dream, he would inquire about him, and if there was no harm in him, his dream was pleasing to him. He said: Then a woman came and said: "O Messenger of Allah, I saw as if I entered Paradise, and I heard a loud thud because of which the inhabitants of Paradise wept loudly. I looked, and behold, so-and-so the son of so-and-so, and so-and-so the son of so-and-so were brought, until I counted twelve men." The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) had dispatched an expedition prior to that. She said: "So they were brought, wearing soiled garments while their jugular veins were gushing blood. It was said: 'Take them to al-Baydakh' - he said: the river of al-Baydakh - so they were dipped into it, and they came out with their faces
كالقمر ليلة البدر، قالت: ثم أتوا بكراسي من ذهب، فقعدوا عليها، فأتي بصحفة أو مبكلة فيها بسر فأكلوا منها، فما يقلبونها لشق إلا أكلوا من فاكهة ما أرادوا، وأكلت معهم. قال: فجاء البشير من تلك السرية، فقال: يا رسول الله: كان من أمرنا كذا وكذا، وأصيب فلان وفلان، حتى عد الاثني عشر الذين عدتهم المرأة، فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: "علي بالمرأة"، فجاءت، فقال: "قضي على هذا رؤياك" فقصت، فقال: هو كما قالت: يا رسول الله1.
পূর্ণিমার রাতের চাঁদের মতো উজ্জ্বল ছিল। সে বলল: অতঃপর তাদের জন্য স্বর্ণের কেদারা আনা হলো এবং তারা সেগুলোর উপর বসলেন। এরপর একটি বড় পাত্র বা বাটি আনা হলো যাতে আধাপাকা খেজুর ছিল, তারা তা থেকে খেলেন; তারা পাত্রটির যে পাশেই হাত দিতেন, সে পাশ থেকেই তাদের ইচ্ছামতো ফল খেতেন, আর আমিও তাদের সাথে খেলাম।" তিনি বলেন: এরপর সেই সেনাদল থেকে একজন সুসংবাদদাতা আসলেন এবং বললেন: "হে আল্লাহর রাসূল! আমাদের বিষয়টি এমন এমন হয়েছিল, আর অমুক অমুক ব্যক্তি শাহাদাত বরণ করেছেন", এমনকি তিনি সেই বারোজন ব্যক্তির নাম গণনা করলেন যাদের নাম ওই মহিলা গণনা করেছিল। তখন রাসূলুল্লাহ (ﷺ) বললেন: "ওই মহিলাকে আমার কাছে নিয়ে এসো।" সে আসলে তিনি বললেন: "এই ব্যক্তির সামনে তোমার স্বপ্নটি বর্ণনা করো।" সে তা বর্ণনা করল, তখন লোকটি বলল: "তিনি যেমন বলেছেন ঠিক তেমনই ঘটেছে, হে আল্লাহর রাসূল!"
like the moon on the night of the full moon. She said: Then gold chairs were brought for them, and they sat upon them. Then a platter or a bowl containing unripened dates was brought to them, and they ate from it; they did not turn it to any side except that they ate whatever fruit they desired, and I ate along with them." He said: Then the bringer of glad tidings arrived from that expedition and said: "O Messenger of Allah, our affair was such and such, and so-and-so and so-and-so were martyred," until he counted the twelve whom the woman had counted. Thereupon, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Bring the woman to me." When she came, he said: "Relate your dream to this man." So she narrated it, and he said: "It is exactly as she said, O Messenger of Allah!"
