Mention of the First Matters Judged Between People on the Day of Resurrection, Those Who Will Face a Thorough Reckoning, and Those Who Will Be Pardoned
In Surah al-Furqan, there is an explicit textual proof regarding the acceptance of the murderer's repentance. Allah, the Exalted, said:
{"And those who do not invoke with Allah another deity, nor kill the soul which Allah has forbidden, except by right, nor commit unlawful sexual intercourse. And whoever does that will meet a penalty. Multiplied for him is the punishment on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein humiliated, except for those who repent..."} [Al-Furqan: 68-70].
...to the end of the verse and the one following it. The detailed examination of this matter belongs in the Book of Legal Rulings (Kitab al-Ahkam), and Allah is the One whose help is sought. Al-A'mash said: from Shahr ibn 'Atiyyah, from Shahr ibn Hawshab, from Abu al-Darda' (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: "The slain person will come on the Day of Resurrection and sit upon the path. When the killer passes by him, he will stand up against him, seize him by the collar, and say: 'O Lord, ask this one why he killed me?' He will reply: 'So-and-so ordered me.' Thus, both the one who gave the order and the killer will be seized and cast into the Fire."
He said in the Hadith of the Horn: "Then Allah will judge between His creation until no grievance of anyone remains against another, to the extent that He will task the one who adulterated milk with water and then sold it to separate the milk from the water."
And Allah, the Exalted, has indeed said:
{"And whoever defrauds will come with what he defrauded on the Day of Resurrection. Then every soul will be compensated for what it earned, and they will not be wronged."} [Al 'Imran: 161].
